I've run this blog for the last two years but just felt it needed some new input and ideas, and so therefore I'm extremely delighted to welcome Glyn Coulter to the Music Liberation team. Glyn is 22 years old and a student from Nottingham . He enjoys live music as much as recorded, from Erol Alkan and Friendly Fires , to [...]

Time for another mix, friends. I was aiming for a spring mix, and I think this accomplishes it, but it's not all flowery and laid back, but has a good amount of energy to it that I'm hoping will shape my spring. Strangelight Glow is what I call this mix, and here is the tracklist: 01. Death Cab For Cutie - My Mirror Speaks 02. Arcade Fire - Lenin 03. The Steelwells - Boxes [...]

French Canadian Patrick Pleau is hitting the scene with his infectious, dancy pop style. His latest release Hype-Moi is all in French, so translating what these songs mean is out of the question for me. But the beats and melodies keep me coming back for more. Antigenie Cimetiere Lunaire Bocalophobe from Hype-Moi , buy it here .

Ryan(StopMe): I've spent most of this week re-cutting Tarantino's two 'Kill Bill' films back into a single movie. From the beautiful city of Montreal comes a new artist called Patric Pleau . He send us his latest album called "Hype-moi" to share it with you all, but you can show him some love at his myspace page, hopefully his lyrics are as good as they sound. Patric Pleau - Cimetiere Lunaire [...]

Ok...I admit, I don't speak a word of French. But music is the universal language and if something is good it doesn't really matter what language it is in, it's still good. That's especially true in the case of Patrick Pleau ! This French Canadian sounds like he was beamed to the 21st century from the 60's with a love of all things Chanson. He's got that smokey, tender voice that haunted so many French pop records 40 years ago and made all the girls fall in love. [...]
