Ce n'est plus un bruit mais une certitude en musique. Le nouvel album de Pauline Croze sort aujourd'hui : Un bruit qui court . Ok c'est facile. Je suis facile. A l'antithse des chansons d'une nouvelle gnration de filles, chanteuses, auteurs, prsentes sur scne. Avant tout subtiles, fines, dlicieusement fminines. Alors je n'ai pas cout le bruit qui court . Thanks to Franss, I've now heard all songs on Pauline Croze's new album. It's a cd that's 'dlicat, difficile et risqu!' according to this review by Rock 'n France. You can understand the fragility, difficult and risky are the way she sings - it's not monotonous, but she doesn't change the melody so that it seems monotonous. It's hard to describe - listen to Baiser d'Adieu (written by Arthur H), and you'd understand. Jeff Buckley and Wayne Shorter. Both musicians were highly influential on Pauline Croze 's new album Un Bruit Qui Court (out November 22). Especially on her voice. She likes the way Buckley uses his voice as an instrument, like a saxophone. The way Wayne Shorter does his soloing (on the sax). A L'Evidence is a song on the new album that was based on a sound she heard from a saxophone. I haven't heard that one yet, but on new single Jour de Foule , you can hear that Buckley-influence very well. When I went to Paris last week, I bought a lot (way too much) cd's, so in the coming weeks no shortage of tracks over here at Filles Sourires. Et si on arrtait d'couter de la soupe? is a double-compilation compiled by radiostation No , who label themselves as 'liberateur de talents'. They have artists come in to do acoustic sessions (is there a radiostation that doesn't, nowadays?), and on this compilation two certified filles sourires do great versions: Camille and Pauline Croze.
