Tweet After a hard day's slog in a building hotter than the Sun, we arrived back at SGTMT Headquarters in urgent need of some refreshment. Where to start? A glass of water didn't really cut it. Opening all the windows didn't change much. Some orange and mango juice from the Official SGTMT Fridge made more of an inroad but didn't quite hit the spot. Then we came across instant refreshment in tune form, courtesy of Maribou State and SGTMT favourite [...]
First of all, if you don't like Lauryn Hill, then fuck you. Now that is out of the way, for all of you Lauryn Hill fans out there, this is probably the best remix of any of her stuff I've ever come across. Pedestrian and Maribou could not have made a better remix of Lauryn Hill that keeps true to the beautiful music she makes as well as adds a great electronic vibe throughout. Definitely a dope track worth listening to, catch it below... &nsbp; Lauryn Hill - Doo Wop [Pedestrian & Maribou State Remix]

Tonight in Boston Now you have plans. Sweet and Addictive... Just last week I stood on a stage in Austin at The Outlaw Roadshow and told several hundred people what affection I have for piano rock bands, introducing the ultimate of these - Jukebox the Ghost - to the assemblage. Today I get to tell you about one of the country's fastest rising stars in this [...]

Way back in October 2011 (so, like, forever ago) I described Pedestrian's musical temperament as "wondrously delicate yet lush", a statement which could be partially applied to this remix of 'Mouves' from Tropics' recent album Parodia Flare . By partially applied, I mean that while it's certainly not as delicate as Hei Poa , it is still lusher than a tropical bird convention being held in the default Windows XP wallpaper field...which, I must admit, is rather lush. I would have actually come up with a brand new [...]
Pedestrian is back with another gnarly rework, this time the British adds his fingerprints to Tropics' "Mouves". Pedestrian reshaped the song from its gently sung verses disappearing into clouds of... **Summary** Go to website for downloads, videos & more.
With its piano-filled tracks and lyrics full of sass, we dare you not to dance along to the self-titled debut EP from Stephie Coplan and The Pedestrians.
Filed under: News Brendan Hoffman, Getty Images According to a newly published study , the number of pedestrians in the United States who have been killed or severely injured while wearing headphones has apparently tripled in the last six years. We know what you're probably thinking: Maybe cars just need louder horns. Perplexingly, more than half of these incidents involved pedestrians being run over by trains and "Two-thirds of the victims were males and under [...]
To welcome in the new year, Pedestrian has decided to give away his remix of Emeli Sandé's "Daddy". Following the success of his 1st EP, Hey Poa, 2012 looks set to be a big year for the young... **Summary** Go to website for downloads, videos & more.

The Moses Bridge , designed by RO & AD Architects , is a pedestrian bridge that allows you to "part" the West-Brabant waterline near Fort de Roovere in the Netherlands. It was built using Accoya wood , which is a durable and modified wood necessary when building a sunken bridge. No word if the hand of god had anything to do with the construction. Just heard some tunes from Pedestrian , which sort of reminds me of the softer side of a Gold Panda kind of sound. "Hei Poa" has a great 2-step beat that I love so much (at least based on my personal definition of 2-step) and "Midsummer's Common" is, well, really midsummery. I haven't watched this yet but I thought I might still pass along a link to a 50-minute session Pedestrain did recently over at Boiler Room . I'll definitely be listening to this sesh at work tomorrow, I can promise you that.
The video may look like the start of either a slasher horror or a pron film but the music is quite lovely. To download. We had Pedestrian's new release earlier in the week. But here's an older track The music is a mix of fractured electronic memories. It has a gentle warm summer feel. The swish of long grass. Reminds me of the pastoral whimsy of Future Loop Foundation ( here ). A gorgeous surprise. Pedestrian - Midsummer's Common

Never heard of Pedestrian before but I'm going to have to explore further. This is beautifully fractured IDM. Like the crunch of autumn leaves. Pedestrian - Hei Poa (Bubblers Edit) Blurb: With previous releases on Metalheadz and Brownswood, Pedestrian steps out on his own with the tracks receiving support from Sinden and Gilles Peterson - the 12 inch drops on November 7th. http://soundcloud.com/pedestri ansound/tracks
I was just about to head towards my bed (aka a pile of hay on a concrete floor) when an e-mail dropped into my inbox with news of Pedestrian's forthcoming EP, Hei Poa . Oh lord, I exclaimed, turning my face towards the sky. I must post, I must post at once. The people must see this. Supported by the likes of Giles Petersen and Sinden, it is no wonder that Pedestrian makes beautiful music and this 4-track release is a shining example of his wondrously delicate yet lush musical temperament. Comprising 'Hei Poa', two remixes by [...]
After appearing on Gilles Peterson's last volume of Brownswood Bubblers and contributing a great remix to Re:Call To Mind for Commix it seems about time that Pedestrian finally gets his debut release. Hei Poa EP - Pedestrian [forthcoming on Push & Run] His Hei Poa EP, set to be released on October 30th by Push & Run Records, sees two new tracks from Pedestrian,'Hei Poa' and 'Led Astray'

They're are zillion surf fuzzed out rock bands like Sarongs right now. Most of which are pretty shitty. Guitar fuzz, weird female background vocals, instagrammed press photo, whatevs. Sarongs were (the band is already broken up) actually good. We are talking legit songwriting chops and some fucking MENACE. Remember when rock and roll had some MENACE in it? Yeah, we know it's hard to. Let Sarongs be your reminder. Sarongs - Pedestrian Sarongs ( Bandcamp ) ( Prison Art Tapes ) [...]

SGTMT

Tweet I love birthdays! I also love lists. So being asked to list my five favourite tunes posted on SGTMT this year to celebrate our first birthday is a real treat. I've discovered literally heaps of great music since I started babbling about music I like for your enjoyment. Artists I hadn't heard of and now soundtrack my life. Or music from acts I was already into that I hadn't come across before. It's been a riot. Whittling down all my waffling to my [...]
