We Are Augustines is what is left of the shattered Brooklyn band Pela. The enduring Pela remnants comprise of Billy McCarthy and Eric Sanderson. Following the release of Pela's debut Anytown Graffitti , the band dismantled after singer-songwriter McCarthy's brother committed suicide.
