Today Toyota launched a huge contest to find the next great unsigned band via Myspace with the winner getting a contract with Myspace Records (home to Jordyn Taylor, Pennywise, Sherwood etc). With the beginning of the co-headlining Jagermeister Tour with Hawaiian reggae rockers Pepper , the Long Beach punk rock natives Pennywise suffered a tragic loss this past week. Kristian Dragge, the younger brother of founding guitarist Fletcher Dragge, passed away at the age of thirty nine, leaving behind his fiancee and one-month-old daughter. It's hard to believe that Huntington Beach's flyest white guys have been a band for almost 25 years now. But, come May 15th, The Offspring will in fact prove this when it kicks off the two month, 37-date "The Shit Is Fucked Up" tour in Nashville, Tennessee. Book, TV series and now Pennywise is back as Warner Bros. have picked up the screen rights to Stephen Kings 'It' which was the best selling book of 1986.
