photography by benjamin hoste Club Nokia was the final stop on Pennywise's lengthy national tour. They headlined the tour with Hawaiian natives Pepper and performed last night to a sold out and enthusiastic crowd in Los Angeles.

The Jagermeister Music Tour came to NYC Saturday night, taking over the Terminal 5 venue on the west side of Manhattan with co-headliners Pepper and Pennywise . But the real takeover came in the form of masses of teenagers swarming the entrance to the cavernous, warehouse-like venue. The event staff certainly had their hands full barring the fall-over-drunk variety from making their way inside as openers Supervillains and Authority Zero warmed up the already [...]

With the beginning of the co-headlining Jagermeister Tour with Hawaiian reggae rockers Pepper , the Long Beach punk rock natives Pennywise suffered a tragic loss this past week. Kristian Dragge, the younger brother of founding guitarist Fletcher Dragge, passed away at the age of thirty nine, leaving behind his fiancee and one-month-old daughter. No cause of death has been given as of yet, but guitarist Dragge posted a tearful, yet brave statement on the band's myspace page: My brother Kristian has been a member of the South Bay punk rock scene [...]

From the looks of it, the spring of this year just got a whole lot better for bands to experience live. For the seventh straight year in a row, the Jagermeister Music Tour will commence in the beginning of April, however this time it will go beyond its predecessors. Teaming up for the tour's main headliners include legendary Hermosa Beach, California skate punks Pennywise and Hawaii-based reggae rockers Pepper . If that isn't enough to dust off the old Birdhouse skateboards and party with mega 7-11 Bip Gulps, it gets even better. Pennywise are clicking on [...]
Old-school punk rockers Pennywise will be coming to the Twin Cities on May 23 as part of the Jagermeister Music Tour. Tickets go on sale Feb. 21, $25 general admission (not bad!). They will be joined by Hawaiian rockers Pepper for an evening of windmill flails and tornado kicking mosh pit madness. (Note: I'm guessing [...]

[Bluesman Jonny Lang will always seem like a teenager to me; hard to believe he's turning 28 today. Although tht stillmakes him a whiz kid to me ...] Nikolai Fraiture [pictured] of the Strokes — under the nom de tune Nickle Eye — released his debut "The Time of the Assassins" this week, and while it's not the most ambitious album in the universe, its stripped-down, world-weary folk aims higher than certain other side projects . Nickel Eye headlines the Troubadour, supported by local anthemic rockers [...]

Sunday is the end of the weekend no matter how you cut it. You work nine to five for five days running and between the commute and the assholes at work, by Friday you have had a butt full. So, Friday night you either get the party started, exposing the pent up angst from the work week to your personal party mantra, or you retreat to your home, relaxing in preparation for some time to yourself. The next 48 hours belong to you, not the job. [...]

As 2008 dwindles down, we begin to lick our lips with the anticipation of what's to come in 2009. In the coming weeks, we'll be hitting up bands for recipes of some of their favorite treats to post right here on the Uncensored Interview blog. Think of it like an online indie-rock cookbook! As we wait for them to scour through index cards in their parents' kitchens, I thought I'd take the time to look back on some food-related bands talking about food related topics. Pepper [...]
You'll probably know Frank Iero from being one awesome guitarist in My Chemical Romance but in his downtime, he's got a new band - Leathermouth . They're just a little bit good. He, however, is just a little bit silly... What was your highlight of 2008? Going home. What's the worst thing that happened to you in 2008? Got fat. [...]

What's the best way to spend a Tuesday evening/Wednesday morning? Usually, taking a train full of smelly people up to Oxford then trekking through the town (full of smelly people, may I add) to the Carling Academy wouldn't be my first choice. But hey, when you've got Less Than Jake at the end of it... who cares, really? Sweat-stained skank-crumpled remains of the ticket. Imperial Leisure There's only one word to describe Imperial Leisure's [...]

The Supervillains played at the White Rabbit on October 16 in San Antonio to promote their new album Massive . They were the second opening band for Hawaiian surfer band Pepper ; the first opening band was Pacifier . Since the creation of LAW records by headliners Pepper, this was Law Records first sponsored tour. All three bands that played that night were under their label. The band is made up of five members, two of which make up a small enthusiastic brass section who contributed countless solos that captured the [...]
With the U.S. dollar valued at shit anyway, you might as well take a tip from Pepper and have a little fecal fun with your money: While not as gut-wrenchingly nasty as its predecessor-the Mallrats' Stinkpalm -the Shit Dollar is still an effective way to both protect your own money and have a little fun with bartenders. Because really, what sick son of a bitch criminal is going to steal your cash if it reeks [...]
The other day while driving with a friend Nickelback's latest atrocity came on the radio (we had the dial on "scan," don't get any ideas) and so began five awkward seconds of waiting for the station to change, because we were both too lazy-or maybe frightened-to do it manually. Once our ears were finally cleansed of the shitfest, my friend (let's call him Joe The Plumber) looked at me and said "God I just wish Nickelback would die." Any sane, patriotic, God-fearing person's first instinct would be to nod their head and agree, but right then and there [...]
Seeing that this is the unofficial last weekend of the summer, I thought it would make some sense to listen to (and share with all y'all) some music that is pretty much made exclusively for hot and lazy summer days. Ska, reggae, dub, etc... you know what I mean. Music that creates images of sandy beaches, clear blue skies, umbrella drinks, flip-flops and floral prints. One such album is Pepper's most recent Pink Crustaceans & Good Vibrations . It is not a complicated thing though; rather, it is mostly surf-inspired good-time laid-back [...]
