When it comes to DIY albums, I'll be the first to admit, I almost always don't like them. Being somewhat of an audiofile, I like my albums sounding polished and squeaky clean with production value up the wazoo. Which is kind of ironic considering my future album, whenever that gets around to being recorded, will be super DIY and won't be too polished or professional sounding at all I imagine. Sometimes the title "Band of the Week" can be a little bit misleading. I have been known to include solo artist here or there and this week I'm featuring something of a collective called the Pet Ghost Project. Led by head Ghost Justin Stivers, the Pet Ghost Project uses a bunch of his friends on various instruments, but mostly just him and his wonderful song writing ability and pop sensibilities.
Today I introduce you to the multi-instrumentalist talent of Justin Stivers who is doing business as the Pet Ghost Project . He single-handedly put together the eleven-track Great Satisfactory album.
