On March 14 at the 9:30 Club, I covered my very first concert for WGTB. The two share a grungy acoustic-semi-alternative kind of sound that I find infectious, but that made my dear father giggle with mirth when I played it for him: "I love the voice cracks!" Before the concert began, I was lucky enough to sit down to talk with Mr. Pete Yorn. When I asked about themes that [...]
Words and photos by Debi Del Grande Oh men and their guitars. There is nothing like watching and listening to a guitar being played by someone who handles it like it was a part of their being. And we were treated to two such men in Pete Yorn and Ben Kweller at the Wiltern in [...]

Pete Yorn's tour to promote the rerelease of Music For The Morning After was simple and sweet, just like a seventeen year old.

Where to find the Wednesday warriors: ► Hard to believe it's been 10 years since Pete Yorn debuted with "Musicforthemorningafter." Songs from late '90s staples of FM rock, from Third Eye Blind to the Offspring and Foo Fighters, make the collection a true alternative rock turn-of-the-century time capsule. But buried at the end, between tracks by the likes of Marvelous 3 and Billy Goodrum, was the soundtrack's best moment: "Strange Condition", the first ever...

Pete Yorn was on Loveline with Dr. Drew and Psycho Mike. You can check out a video of an off air discussion Pete had with the crew where he talks about his transition from student to full-fledged rockstar, below.

Maybe you heard him when he did his multiple duets with Scarlett Johansson , or when he was the first to accurately relate burritos to the feelings of love in your chest, or maybe you have been an admirer of his music throughout all five of his albums. Either way, you have the chance to see Pete Yorn's alternative rock energy in person on April 3 at the Wonder Ballroom, courtesy of Mike Trasher Presents and yours truly.
