When Pete Yorn decided he "just wanted to rock out" for his next record, the Los Angeles singer-songwriter made a brilliant choice of producer/co-conspirator: Pixies frontman Frank Black, aka Black Francis. Vagrant Records seems to have a knack for signing ex-major label acts. Syracuse University graduate (and ex-Columbia Recording artist) Pete Yorn is the latest to sign with the independent label.
