MP3 : Music is Dead So, what's new with Phantods ? Besides releasing the video and MP3 for "Music is Dead" (above), the band was recently picked as an "Ohio Band You Should Be Listening To" by Paste Magazine . They're hoping to book some East Coast shows this summer, and currently are set to perform May 26 @ Woodlands in Columbus, OH along with She Bears and Joshua P. James & the Paper Planes.

Phantods, Super Desserts, Brainbow, Adam from Southeast Engine, No No Knots, and many others were involved. Today, we are releasing the album as a free download to spread the holiday cheer. The Black Keys Donate Signed Guitar to the 19th-Annual Andyman-A-Thon (photo taken from Lesley James' facebook ) The Black Keys donated a signed guitar that will be auctioned off leading into this year's Andyman-a-thon on CD102.5 . The Andyman-A-Thon is a Holiday tradition that is entering it 19th year. The late Andyman Davis would stay on his radio station's airwaves, awake for 48 hours straight to raise money for children's charties in Columbus.CD102.5 Listeners were encouraged to call in to request songs and donate money. Good thing we asked Phantods to play our anniversary show a couple months ago. Since then, the band has been getting solid airplay on Columbus' CD101 and just played in front of a sold out crowd at the Newport opening for Fitz and the Tantrums. With some regional touring and a vinyl release in the works, it looks like 2011 will be their year. Catch them tonight at our anniversary show at Kobo before the band fully graduates to larger venues only.
