Admittedly I've only listened to Nightlife a couple times over since it was released, but I've just got that feeling, you know? Like you prematurely want to share something without giving it much thought, mostly feeling. And this mini record feels good. They've really come into their own sound, "Don't Move" seems like the front runner- it's got those great samples and a shimmery beat. While "Make a Fist" sounds like a more anxious "Running from the Cops". I normally don't recommend a situation where you have to "like" something on facebook before you can hear it, but in this case I've already approved of a few of the tracks off Phantogram's new Nightlife EP, so its worth a shot. PHANTOGRAM is a trip-hop/psych-pop duo which formed in 2007 in Saratoga Springs, New York, United States. The band consists of Joshua Carter (guitar, vocals) and Sarah Barthel (vocals, keyboards). Their music can be described as a culmination of unique street beat rhythms, psychedelic melodies and organic textures. The band practices and writes music in an out-of-town farm called Harmony Lodge. Barthel and Carter were friends since junior high school.
