The never aging Pharrell has been pretty busy lately, what with him featuring on the new Daft Punk album. You may remember way back in 2010 , Williams was behind the soundtrack to the movie, Despicable Me , and now the sequel is about to be released, it appears he's contributing music to that too. The Despicable Me 2 soundtrack is set to be released in just under a months time on June 18th. The film will hit cinemas in the US on the 3rd of July with an [...]
Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter have, needless to say, predominated over the music news for the duration of this past month or so, even making deathly black headlines in the wake of the untimely demise of sporadic collaborator Anthony Moore, aka Romanthony. The vocalist eminently immortalised on what remains arguably their most stellar hit to date in One More Time, it therefore feels somewhat fitting that the truly blinding instances of galactic brilliance here compiled should be those which feature the multifarious, if in some cases questionable vocal talents of contemporary players from Julian Casablancas, to Noah Lennox. [...]

After roaring through alongside Daft Punk on Random Access Memories , news that Pharrell Williams will be curating the soundtrack to the Despicable Me sequel has come out, along with an original Williams' track. He, of course, also curated the original film's soundtrack. Considering its for an animated feature directed at younger audiences, 'Happy' seems fitting. The track was made with the help of composer Heitor Pereira , whose previous compositions have been featured in Gladiator and Mission Impossible 2 . Head over [...]
I discovered RDGLDGRN today from listening to a BBC Radio 1 podcast which is weird seeing as that's an English radio station and the band's American. But who could say no to a band that has a song called "I Love Lamp" and Dave Grohl as their guest drummer? Not me! I had a similar discovery a few months ago with Kids These Days in which Chach and I drove around Atlanta deciphering the various songs and which covers these incredibly talented kids used throughout the album (I still think the brass section of Radiohead's "Creep" in "Bud [...]
O rapper norte-americano continua assim a colaboração do primeiro filme, trazendo desta vez três músicas à banda sonora. A primeira a ser divulgada foi "Happy", uma [...]

Listening to Pharrell's the new song "Happy" should make the day better. The producer/artist is back with the Despicable Me franchise to score the soundtrack to the animated film's sequel. P contributed three tracks of his own – including one titled "Scream," which features Cee Lo Green. The Despicable Me 2 soundtrack will hit the streets on June 18th, while the film will arrive in theaters on July 3rd. [Rolling Stone]

Pharrell dialed into smooth '70s disco with Daft Punk on two Random Access Memories tracks, " Get Lucky" and "Lose Yourself to Dance." But for his new solo track, "Happy," Mr. Williams digs back a little bit further, to the '60s. The result is a soulful, catchy little jaunt reminiscent of Cee Lo Green 's recent work – all handclaps and singalongs and retro pop simplicity. "Happy" is off the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack, which Pharrell co-produced with composer Heitor Pereira (Pharrell also helmed the music for [...]

In case you haven't checked on that countdown of yours lately, Despicable Me 2 drops in just 42 days. It's so close that we can almost see the light beaming from soon to be villain-conquering Gru's (Steve Carrell) shiny, bald head. Anyways, the original movie has become one of the more likeable animated family entertainments (take that, Pixar), and also featured a wonderful soundtrack helmed by Pharrell Williams and composer Heitor Pereira. It's no surprise that the two have teamed up yet again for the film's sequel, and today we are given a [...]

Music that preys on your nostalgia is a dangerous thing. Too often these types of songs rely not on a musician's talent, but your own memories, thus letting other artists do the heavy lifting. So, it's surprising to see Daft Punk , two of the most forward thinking musicians out there, return after an eight-year absence (not counting Alive 2007 or the Tron: Legacy soundtrack) with something that looks backwards instead of to the future. From its very title, Random [...]

Eu gostei.

Pharrell is staying busy this year. After making one of the best songs of the year with Daft Punk, he's got the the Dispicable Me 2 soundtrack coming up on June 18. After spending much of this year associated with French robots , super-producer Pharrell Williams is linking back up with world-conquering super villains. Williams helmed the soundtrack to the first Despicable Me , and now he's contributing music to the its upcoming sequel. Among the three tracks Williams supplied is "Happy," a '60s pop ditty that switches gears from sexy disco anthems . Williams lays down effervescent organ, snappy handclaps, and lyrics so simplistic and joyful they're irritatingly catchy ("Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof"). Listen in below. [...]

Nouveau titre de Pharell . Quoi de mieux pour être heureux que d'écouter son nouveau titre Happy ?
It's no secret that Pharrell's been borderline unstoppable lately. Think about it. He's on every single "it" song of the moment, and it doesn't look like he's slowing down anytime soon. He's on arguably the biggest hit of 2013 in Daft Punk's "Get Lucky." Not far behind is Robin Thicke's, ... Read More
