Celtronic , the electronic music festival taking place at several venues in Derry from June 27th to July 1st, just announced its first string of acts. The line-up features: The RubberBandits , Todd Terje , Jape , Steffi , Mmoths , Nina Kraviz , Oneman , Kuedo , Space Dimension Controller , Phil Kieran and Boxcutter . This 1993 Techno classic gets reworked by Green Velvet & Phil Kieran. Vocals by Rev. Trotter of the southside of Chicago. Interested in making something totally different from his Cajmere moniker and other stuff, Green Velvet created Relief as an offshoot to his Cajual records in 1993. The first Relief release was also his first Green Velvet production, 1993′s 'Velvet Tracks' which came from a name given to him by a girlfriend's dad, emerged as the flamboyant, neon-haired electro punk. tech house music magnates Phil Kieran and Green Velvet made a track titled 'Michael Jackson' in what could be seen as a tribute to the legend. Out on Phil Kieran's imprint Phil Kieran Recordings this serves as one of two versions of the song, one being named 'Mic Jack In Version' the other being 'Mic Jack Out Version'! The track presents a tight groove with some spaced out alien shit going on in the background with this synth producing freaky noises. The monotone voice also adds an element of off center coolness.
