For those who don't keep up with the Hype Machine , I seem to have written the number one post of last week introducing the world to FMLY veteran DJDT . Although these tunes are nothing new to you guys and gals, it's awesome that the rest of the blogodome has a soft spot for Robert Cepeda's club-friendly dancefloor hits. Characterized by catchy midi-written hooks, pitch-altered vocals and the occasional whamp, DJDT's latest is a Killers remix. Seeing as how we've never blogged about the Killers before I honestly could not tell you what song this is a [...]

I just got this one in the mail from the mysterious Philip Seymour Hoffman and it really couldn't have come at a more exciting time. By now I'm sure that most of you have picked up Dan Deacon's Bromst and have probably either worn the vinyl out, scratched the CD from bringing it car to car or have burnt out your computer from too many repeated plays. Awards Show season is in full effect with the 66th Annual Golden Globes winners being announced last night. The event was held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California and the stars came out in full force. Rumer Willis took the stage as Miss Golden Globe in a stunning purple dress. Toronto - It's a bit late - but better than never. I have put off watching this film since last year. It's not because I didn't want to , but so many things got in the way. In a sense, it's exactly what the movie is about, lost chances and the opportunities to compensate. Jon and Wendy Savage started this weird episode of make-up when their father had a temper flare-up and wrote "prick" on the bathroom wall with his own feces after the caretaker refuses to flush it for him. Actually, at this point I thought the [...]

can't WAIT for this… Synecdoche, New York

Celluloid With an extensive resume of films which includes classics like 12 Angry Men , Network , Dog Day Afternoon , and Serpico , 83-year old Sidney Lumet has cemented his place in film history as a titan. With his new film Before The Devil Knows You're Dead , Lumet once again displays his knack for ensemble casts and difficult character studies. The film tells the tale of two brothers, Andy (Philip Seymour Hoffman) and Hank (Ethan Hawke), who [...]
