Fresh new visuals for Copperwires latest single "Phone Home". Intergalactic hip hop at it's most futuristic! They got a nice lil write up from MTV, for those that don't know about Copperwire: When three artists from the West Coast combine their shared Ethiopian roots and colorful solo careers, the end result is electric. Edmonton, Canada I started HAPPY TRENDY in the winter of 2010 as an outlet to expressing myself in a form more personal than what I was creating at that time. It's easy to fall into the trap of focusing on everything and everyone but yourself, and I guess this was my idea of circumventing that. It was really just an experiment, and it still is. I never have [...]

Holy Other - Yr Love download With U out soon Holy Other , a 'Mancunian who lives in Berlin' i.e. before i even hear this music, i like it because I like Mancunians and I like Berlin. Makes some kind of indie electronic experimental ambient stuff (last.fm mentions 'Witch-House', that's kinda cool), so yeah indie electronica experimental ambient and WITCH-HOUSE, i dig it. It's like James Blake, but newer. Scrap that, it's like a mixture of Burial and James Blake, but newer. [...]

Oakland, CA's Big Kids will release their sophomore LP Phone Home in May via Protagonist Music / Adagio830 . Some tracks from the release can be heard here . The band is having a busy 2011, with a split 7" with Joyce Manor out for pre-order (which we featured on the April 12, 2011 episode of the Punknews Podcast) as well as a new EP for Topshelf Records slated for later this year.

Big Kids, those rad dudes from Oakland just posted a new song "Dad's Datsun" from their upcoming sophomore LP Phone Home. Genre: Experimental Instrumental Pop Label: none This is something between chillwave, dreampop, instrumental dance pop and other danceable pop genres you can imagine mixed with some spacy post rock (or whatever) tunes as well as also classical elements, created by two brothers from New York. Seems to be a great mixture. I don´t know what else to add. download totally for free (or name your price [ This is the summary, read the whole story on Website ]

Similar to when listening to electronic or classical music, with there being no lyrics to dissect or vocals to critique, the instrumental sound of John and Michael Vallarelli's Phone Home leaves listeners with a vast array of ways to describe the duo's sound. As explained by Olive Music , Phone Home is "coated with color, passion and euphoria"; To Eleven ultimately defines the group as "a logical continuation of the experimental and indie rock bands that are their NYC legacy"; and Australian "information filler" The Vine focuses on the band's "enlightened sound" which involves "levitating [...]
It's a real shortcoming of Hallmark as a company, that they don't offer a "Post-Rock brings families together" greeting card. New York's Phone Home is the second duo of brothers (the awesome Lymbyc Systym is the other) to channel potential angsty rivalry into beautiful musical alchemy. On their first 4-song self-released EP, Michael and John [...]

![What's Your Headphone History? [Phone Home]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/1324222_lg.jpg)
I'm going to guess that this blog's audience is primarily creative-class desk jockeys who make the days go by faster with their headphones. Let me then ask you about your headphones themselves. What do you require? How big or small? Earbuds or on-ear? Long flexible curly cord or tiny thin strap? And what about your history with them generally? My own goes something like this. I started listening to the Walkman when I was about 12. The phones were the standard, cheaply made kind that came with the player, with the exposed metal [...]
