plain white t's - hey there delilah [ link 2 ] [one of the catchiest songs of the year also ranks up there as one of the most overplayed tunes (and therefore hated) of the year. love it or despise it, you can't deny that "hey there delilah" had you singing along to it at some point in 2007. a one hit wonder for these chicago kids? don't care really, i feel bad enough putting them on my list!] http://feeds.feedburner.com/Wo ngiesMusicWorld
I'm not gonna do an albums of the year list because there were hardly any full albums that I really got into. Of Montreal, Tegan and Sara, The Maccabees, Paramore and...thats about it. There were lots of albums I listened to, but hardly anything that I went back to over and over throughout the year. So that's that. There were, however, a lot of songs that I was really excited about this year. Separate from the album they appear on. I'd go back to these before the rest of the album. They defined 2007 more than any individual album, save [...]

Delilah DiCrescenzo From Plain White T's' 'Hey There Delilah' (2006) Plain White T's frontman Tom Higginson wrote this ode to Columbia University steeplechase runner Delilah DiCrescenzo. He fell for Delilah and told her he'd written a tune about her, then quickly backed off when she asked to hear the song, which didn't exist yet. By the time he got around to penning the ditty, Delilah was long gone. She has since weighed in, saying, "Part of me wants to scream at the top of my lungs that it's about me. [...]
There aren't many award shows that I get excited about as I tend to feel that the greatest music being made today is so often overlooked in favor of over produced pop tunes that anyone with the right equipment and marketing can create. However, the Grammy's are pretty much the gold standard in American music so I'm generally faithful to them each year. I don't always agree with the nominations

Because if you don't have any of these things you might be well, uninterested in this festival. You should instead milk cows, or watch [...]

Terius Nash aka " The-Dream " and Tricky Stewart co-wrote Umbrella and supposedly put it on hold for Britney Spears. Spears passed on the song, instead opting for Me Against The Music , and during a session with Rihanna , the Bahama Mama snatched it up and made it the mega-hit of the Summer. According to The-Dream, Umbrella was written in just twelve minutes. [...]

Was das bedeutet?
Rock Star Journalist has been on a break, but now that school?s back in session, and I?m in the swing of writing again, we?re coming back. Call me a jerk for not mentioning the break before it happened, but whatever. The site starts back with regular updates Monday. In the ...
Clear as Day In honor of snow, The Plain White T's... I don't usually do perky, but it has it's place and it's virtues. And just listen to them! They are having such GooGoo Foo Maroon-ish fun! Breaking out by opening for Panic at the Disco (due to the drummer in Bloc Party having collapsed a lung;) look for them to turn up on TRL any day now. So Damn Clever [...]
If you like sugary sweet pop-rock with a smidge of up-tempo pop-punk thrown in for good measure, you'll most certainly love the new record from the Plain White T's . Their latest (and third) album Every Second Counts is full of enough catchy melodies and hooks to rot your teeth out after only a few listens. My wife (as a fan of theirs for years now) would probably be more qualified to write this review than I am. She has been a big fan since the band [...]

Happy Fourth of July dearest patriotic readers. To help you celebrate, we've put together a playlist of Independence Day-related tunes. Feel free to let them accompany your backyard BBQ or your late night bottlerocket launching. Ironically though, most of these songs came from major label records, not independent. Our favorite track in the bunch is the Descendents' excellent "'Merican," which keeps it real while keeping it patriotic: "I'm proud and ashamed every Fourth of July / You got to know the truth before you say that you got pride." Happy 4th ya'll! [...]
