On Friday radio station RLC, better known to the world as 90.FM The Core held a show at the Cook Campus Center at Rutgers University . THE GASLIGHT ANTHEM played an early set Saturday night at The Knitting Factory , celebrating the release of their new record, The '59 Sound . Polar Bear Club and We're All Broken handled the opening duties but Gaslight were the stars of the night, playing for nearly 2 hours to a (very) sold out crowd of diehard fans. It could be very easy to be disappointed with Sometimes Things Just Disappear after Polar Bear Club's awesome debut EP The Redder, The Better but just give this one a little time; it's a slow burner. On this (their debut full-length) Polar Bear Club continues to blend catchy pop-punk hooks with slower and more angular post-hardcore guitars, finding a balance between gruff vocals and melodic harmonies.
