Before we get started: it was compiled by me, meaning it's unofficial . I had the idea a few days ago: some artists are so hyped that every song of their album(s) is possibily remixed, so why not make an "alternative album" of it, with the same tracks in the same order, only remixed. And since hype and The xx go hand in hand, it was obvious what to start with. Some of the songs had very few remixes (i.e.: one or two), so if you don't like something it's not [...]

I received this very odd and anything but specific press release from a group/band called "Rythm Monks". All I could understand out of this small document was "Trance" "Electro" "Drums" and "Rythm" at some words as "midi signals" "space" and "robot machine", and you'll probably get something that pretty much represents this press release. Weird and Mysterious to say the least, same thing goes for the video (check top)! But how does it sound in the end? In my opinion pretty much amazing. Primal Beat, the track I'm posting, is apparently based on a popular rhythm from [...]

Manchester/Berlin project Popular Damage are gearing up for their first proper UK release of 'The Royal Fly' EP. This track, 'Exclusive', is a perfect example of Popular Damage who can take noisy, chaotic sounds and make catchy, even melodic, electronic Pop tunes. With a bunch of buzzing analog synths and a Post-Punk attitude Popular Damage lay waste to the music landscape with electronic songs that actually rock ! ♫ Popular Damage – Exclusive (zShare) (MediaFire) 'The Royal Fly' is out 3rd May. It's Monday and I'm simply too tired (as always) to write anything today. But not too tired to check a few mails (some of them dating back as far as last October), so here's another one of those " look what I have found in the inbox today " posts! Am suspecting that this could very well turn into a regular Monday feature? Time will show! + Elizabeth & the Catapult - Race You + Pacific Theater - [...]

Popular Damage are duo from Manchester/Berlin...They make catchy indie dance tracks, as this fun little number off their upcoming EP, "The Royal Fly" proves. Catch them touring select cities in Europe this spring if you live in that part of the world. Popular Damage - "Exclusive"

Ok, lets just say this. The first time FUKKK OFFF came into our radar was like about a few months back ago? Heard the track Love Me Hate Me Kiss Me Kill Me and wasn't too impressed. Maybe its because there's too many stuff going on at the time, maybe we were distracted by summat else, maybe we just didnt take the time to appreciate Bastian Heerhorst dj alter-ego. But then there was that remix of Popular Damage that got stuck on repeat for fucking weeks on the player. And then [...]

![Remix Roundup Vol. 17 – 2.19.10 [Special Edition: The xx & Theophilus London]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/2348423_lg.jpg)
What do a group of pale, barely 20, sexed-up Londoners have to do with a black hip-hopster from Brooklyn and why put them in the same roundup? Well, besides both being pumped through my speakers nonstop lately, neither can seem to keep their hands clean of remixes. There is one track on which their paths even cross. Theo's remixes aren't really my favorite but they definitely provide an interesting view on one of the more eclectic artists on the scene lately and they certainly don't lessen my excitement for a proper debut from the dude. The XX - Crystalised (Popular Damage Assimilation) Reblogged with love from indierawk & jandro : If you haven't already started listening to The xx, DO SO RIGHT NOW. These UK youngsters are simply phenomenal. Download the Popular Damage Assimilation here . "You've applied the pressure to have me crystalised - and you've got the faith that I could bring paradise"

Dance + Electro + Pop = Popular Damage. Thus was the simple algebra behind the 2007 genesis of the collaborative project between Manchester-born Nadine Raihani and Stephan Hengst. Berlin's post-rock and indie scene was the common denominator which brought these two forces together in their quest perfect the formula for dance-worthy pop music. Popular Damage is a real child of the noughties: the Internet has played a key medium behind the project using free track give-aways as an instrumental role in spreading Popular Damage's infectious dance-electro-pop inventions amid their loyal following and beyond. Their back once [...]
