Hardly Art Records From: Seattle, United States Mention Seattle and record label to any music buff and the first words that will form in their head are Sub Pop. Well maybe not any more. Sub Pop founder Jonathan Poneman's Hardly Art are the name to drop amongst those in the know and with a roster that makes major labels green with envy, including the outrageous Hunx and his Punx featured earlier this week, it may not be long [...]

Jukebox the Ghost Three that's-not-a-tear-in-my-beer reasons to head over to Schubas tonight... 1. Schubas has an excellent piano-driven, indie pop showcase on tap for tonight. Upbeat Philly poppers Jukebox The Ghost are headlining and you are really in for a treat. The trio create a nice mix of danceable new-wave pop gems like the track "Schizophrenia," from Jukebox the Ghost's latest album Everything under the Sun and sweet, slow-burners like the Ben Folds-esque track "Summer Sun." Craig, Taylor, James and Doug of MiniBoone sent us these answers to our questions in this next installment of our q and also a series. q: What is the last song you (really) heard? c: If I Ever Lose My Faith in You (youtube) by Sting . ...while we've been hearing rumors for a while now, yesterday it was confirmed that longtime Dayton faves Captain of Industry will play a pair of reunion shows in May. Following the release of their third album The Bronze in 2008, the band did an East Coast jaunt, then quietly faded out. COI's endlessly inventive twists [...]
![Drummers: Planes [Video]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3093657_lg.jpg)
Drummers is a band that initially reminded me of a favorite from a few years back, a band that dominated noise in every way possible. Vocals, drums and guitar were no match for the volume the three made when combined. That band was and is Japandroids. Drummers is based in Boston; they're a band that has shared the stage with The Thermals and Built To Spill, and they share members (past and present) with Hardly Art's Pretty & Nice. So from the get-go, you know things will get loud. [...]

It's only half over, but 2010 has been a busy year for Allston, Mass.-based indie upstarts Young Adults . The planned full-length will be issued on a date to be determined digitally and in a limited edition of 500 vinyl LPs by Prague-based promotion and label concern AMDISCS. The sessions for Black Hole [...]
