The latest single to be taken from 'Remembrance Of Things To Come', the second album from Princeton is the orchestral alt-pop of 'Andre' which you can download below.
Yes, they are from Princeton; Princeton Street, in Santa Monica, California, that is. The sound of this indie pop/rock quartet is just as clean-cut as their ivy-shrouded name might suggest, but with a bit less pretension and a lot more fun. Remembrance of Things to Come, released in February on Hit City U.S.A. / Easter Everywhere , is the second studio album from the band consisting of twin brothers Jesse (guitar, vocals) and Matt (bass, vocals) Kivel, their childhood friend Ben Usen (keyboard), and drummer David Kitz. With rich layering and sophisticated lyrics, Princeton's latest record is [...]

' Remembrance Of Things To Come ' is one of the most enjoyable releases this year and now West Coast sleek poppy-disco outfit Princeton is releasing their third single from that project. 'Andre' will see daylight soon as a 73 and paired with a remix with producer Matthew David. In the meantime you can stream the track in all of its indie pop glory below. Album is available now. Princeton - Andre
Earlier this year, we posted the excellent lead single " Florida " from Princeton's sophomore LP, Remembrance of Things to Come . The third single from that release is "Andre," an orchestral indie buildup that features bassist Matt Kivel on lead vocals in place of his twin brother, Jesse. It'll be released as a 7" soon and paired with a remix from bass music producer Matthewdavid . Download both takes below. Read More...

A picture tells a thousand words, right? They also help capture a thousand bands, and for an event like Austin, TX's South by Southwest , a camera isn't an added incentive, it's a necessity. Last week, several of our photographers hit the bustling streets and furious venues, capturing the talent both young and old. For reference, you should know that a day at SXSW begins at 10 a.m. and doesn't stop until sometime between the hours of two or six in the morning. Yeah, that's a lot of footage. So, if you couldn't make it down to Texas, take a [...]

![[Review/Listen] – Princeton – "Remembrance Of Things To Come"](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4120699_lg.jpg)
Hailing from the lovely little land of Los Angeles, Princeton 's sophomore effort, with its oxymoronic title "Remembrance Of Things To Come" , is a feast of pop orchestration. Released at the end of February on Hit City U.S.A., this record feels like a twenty dollar bill burning a hole in the pocket of a broke teenager. Compulsive, richly ornate and yet somehow studied, the mastermind identical twins behind this project, Matt and Jesse Kivel, have created a collection of songs that emphasize a reflection on the direction that pop music can go when [...]

Nine SoCal bands are playing Buzz Bands LA's "Dear Austin: Love, L.A." day party next Wednesday on the first day of the South by Southwest Music Festival. It seems like 999 SoCal bands are actually headed to Austin. When we started culling music from those artists, our uploader begged for for mercy. So we called upon old friend Kay Randolph (who had storage in his Soundcloud account) to assemble "LA x SXSW x 44," a mix featuring a selection of tunes that some of the participating bands have made available for download. Check out the mix below. [...]

Filed under: News , Monthly Mixtape Flickr What happened to February 2012? It didn't even snow in New York City, which by our calculations is one of the 10 pillars of the apocalypse. And with Rick Santorum nearing the Republican Party presidential nomination, we have retreated within our headphones to wait around for the nuclear fallout. So head down to your basement and unplug from the world around you by checking out these 29 great [...]

Princeton - Louise Pop bands that strive for breadth, paint shades of night skies in between perfect hooks, always hold a strong appeal to me. This is the incredible closing track on the LA band's newest effort, a top effort at a grand, cinematic send-off; a dramatic stamp to an album experience worth the thousand stars it packs in. I've been raving about it , and I expect that this is only a taste of what's to come from their burgeoning career. Remembrance Of Things To Come LP was released this week [...]

The Oscars are this Sunday, and 2011 was a forgettable year in cinema. I can't honestly say that I've seen a great movie in a long time, though, I've only seen four out of the nine movies up for "Best Picture." The stage appears to be set for "the Artist" to win big in which makes Harvey Weinstein look like a genius. The one movie I regret not catching while in theatres in 3D is the Martin Scorsese film not starring Joe Pesci, "Hugo," based on the children's book. "The Help's" supporting cast should win "Best Supporting [...]
Though Princeton is a SoCal band, they've spread themselves through a sense of East Coast beach music that takes a larger presence than anything of the Southern California vein. Sure, the rhythm of songs like "Grand Rapids" is relative to perhaps walking on the sands of Venice Beach, but location distinguishing is of little importance to the group's vitality and especially how much of a weak affair Remembrance of Things to Come is. Whether you consider Princeton to be East Coast or West Coast, this album lacks the sophistication it needs to exceed or even succeed as a [...]
