Propagandhi have announced a new round of European tour dates; joining them on the majority of the shows will be Dutch punks Antillectual . Dates below. Propagandhi continue to support 2012's Failed States.

Propagandhi , Comeback Kid and Shai Hulud playing on the same bill is as good a punk line-up as 2013 gigs are likely to see. With that in mind, we sent Tom ' You Are Not Better Than Pop Music ' Doyle along to review said line-up when it came to London earlier this week. Six Things we learned when we saw Propagandhi headline in London: [...]

I've been meaning to check Anchors Lost At The Bottom Of The World for a few months now, but it got lost in my shit to review list (no, seriously... I have a playlist called "shit to review" and it has over a good 2 days worth of music in there. I will never catch up, and that's a good thing.) It's too damn bad that it took me so long to review, because Lost At The Bottom Of The World could have been a contender on my top 10 of 2012 . [...]

OK, let’s experiment then. Climb into the Delorean with me on this one. February 7 th , 2011. We get two point five minutes of pounding skins and bass growl, guitars seethe and crackle like a jet engine heating up. After liftoff the post-rock casing falls away and we’re left with something else, something that swings and jags like Jumpin’ Jack Flash given years alone in its bedroom and forcefed guitar tone, something that keeps building speed like a, haha, like a rolling stone, not just cold rock but limbs and sweat and mains power that keeps threatening [...]
Musical activism is nothing new. From politically charged records to benefit concerts to collaborative charity singles, it’s a pretty safe to say that as long as things happen in the world, someone’s going to be singing about them. Musical activism can play the part of the quiet antithesis — John Lennon’s soft, wistful coos can still stand up to any war ever mounted — but can also simply fire with fire. One only has to look to bands like Rise Against and Anti Flag, who channel their frustrations into unadulterated musical rage. It’s in this vein that we [...]

Propagandhi is a cruel mistress. I have been listening to these Canadian punks since the year 2000 when Today's Empire, Tomorrow's Ashes came out, and they have easily been one of my favorite bands since. However, in the span of those 12 years, I only had the opportunity to see them once, and that was a mere 3 years ago ... so I essentially went 9 years without seeing my favorite band. Fucking hurts dude. When Propagandhi announced they were coming to Philly to support the release of their latest Failed States (which [...]

When it comes to Propagandhi, people are split into three distinct groups. You have those who are fucking obsessed, those who only dig their early stuff ( Less Talk More Rock , How To Clean Everything ), and those who don't like Propagandhi at all and their opinion is irrelevant. I am in the obsessed category, and completely fucking loved their 2009 release of Supporting Caste and wasn't sure if Failed States would hold up. With 15 new songs (12 if you get the regular version, but the deluxe version is totally worth it with 2 extra [...]
I hope you've all enjoyed your Labor Day weekend (I don't really care), but it's time to get back into the swing of things with some new music. We've got one outstanding release from the veteran, punk-proggy thrashers in Propagandhi, an endlessly eccentric work of... eccentricity from Arkhamin Kirjasto (damn that long and difficult band ...

Propagandhi's new album "Failed States" can be streamed in its entirety here .

Propagandhi Failed States Epitaph Records 3 September 2012 by Alex Andrews The story goes that Propagandhi formed after Chris Hannah and Jord Samolesky pinned-up a poster in a Winnipeg record store advertising a "progressive thrash band looking for bass player." It wasn’t until their third bassist that the band released its debut album, but the resulting snotty, skate punk [...]
Punk rock has always been about fighting the good fight - or at least fighting something. And while the genre’s knee-jerk defiance can sometimes come off as canned rebellion (even The Clash’s war on the man wore thin post- Sandinista! ), Propagandhi ’s scathingly satiric style of punk is as brash and unflinching today as it ever has been. Systemic rage might be the oldest card in the genre's handbook, but the Canadian band doesn’t use political angst as a crutch. It’s just in their DNA, and their message has only gotten more focused and incensed with every passing [...]

Tweet I am getting on a little bit. I am. I can see the shrouded figure of death in the not two distant future beckoning forward into the afterlife. When you get to this stage of life, where your reactions slow and you consider wearing a nappy, you feel the need to look back and assess life. As I have carefully gone through all of my hopes, dreams, expectations, and disappointments I have come to realise that Propagandhi are an incredible band. [...]
