"Brevony" starts out simple enough and along the same lines that Brent Knopf has built his reputation on but takes a few turns and gets crunchy and chaotic. We've already heard "Spore" and now we get sister track "Sqworm" from Ramona Fall's upcoming album Prophet . The album will be Romano Fall's second album but the first since Knopf decided to leave Menomena in order to put all his focus into the new band. We'll see how that works out for him. Prophetic is an emcee out of Milwaukee, and no stranger to the Chicago scene. I met him at Digital Freshness a couple months ago, and have been tuned in since. He's got a new project on the way entitled Wool Over My Eyes , that should be dropping this spring. Before we get into Proph's new stuff, check out this video for "Jungle", which dropped over the summer. Look for more Proph on RH soon.
It's been quite some time since Menomena's former frontman Brent Knopf released his side project's (now his main project) debut album. Intuit received a great deal of praise from all over the internet and even landed itself on my Top Ten Album Covers of 2009 as well as Top Ten Music Videos . Things went a little quiet after that. Shane Harper has revealed the details for his upcoming exclusive Target release of his self-titled debut album, which will feature 12 tracks including singles, "One Step Closer," and "Rocketship," along with four unreleased tracks. The album will be released through Deep Well Records (launched by Glee Executive Music Producer, Adam Anders ) exclusively at Target on Valentine's Day, February 14th.
