Here are some five of the biggest tracks to go into the weekend with. First up, a repost of Duke Dumont's "Hoy!" because the 2 minute version posted last time was obviously not the real one. Guess what? There is actually an entirely different level of the track which certifies this as a true stormer. Get it now! Duke Dumont - Hoy! Next, is a little Fake Blood number that people have been scouring the net for over the past few months. The [...]

A last minute decision saw Pelski hurriedly packing a bag for the second day of the Gatecrasher festival. Both days collectively, without a doubt, provided the best line-up any festival offered this year (given the truly rubbish line-up of Glastonbury, while Global's and Creamfields' don't exactly stand out). Saturday boasted the likes of: Prodigy, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, The WHip Digitalism, Annnie Mac, The Count and Sinden, Switch, Bloc Party Djs, Crookers, Black Ghosts, Hijack Dj Mehdi, Busy P, Feadz (and...ahem...Uffie) [...]

PROXY: With just two releases on Turbo Recordings , Proxy 's material has got a lot of play from the big guys around the world. I personally think their style is genius, original and downright eargasmic. For the audio, a b-side, a remix of their single ( Destroy ) and one they did for Chromeo , Enjoy... Proxy - Din Dah Proxy - Destroy (Riot In Belgium Edit) Chromeo - Tenderoni [...]

Tjek den her video af Mr. Oizo , der spiller Proxy 's kommende sang Dancing in the Dark , til Ed Banger Label Part y. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =G1Fv0JFOx0I Efter at have set den video måtte jeg bare støve den voldsomt fede Proxy -sang op. Selv skriver Proxy på sin MySpace: So " DANCING IN THE DARK " + newest neutron bomb: " 40 SECONDS " will be released on Turbo Recordings by june. It will be [...]

None of these tracks are new, just so you know. But they define why I like dance music and why I think it can be equally as powerful as any Bizet aria. Proxy is a Russian kid who was discovered by Tiga's brother on myspace, and was quickly signed to Turbo Recordings. Zombie Nation we all know about. He's the guy (Florian Senfter) that did that song that they always play at hockey and European football games. This track is quite the bomb. The kind of stuff that gets the crowd going, even though they've never heard it. [...]

Flinders is Charlie Darbyshire, a diverse DJ , with a penchant for 'bongles' and saying "sweeeet, maann" way too much. Here, his latest mix displays his eclectic taste in electronic music - ranging from Electro and Techno to Dubstep and 2-Step. His new mix is a dope mash-up of filthy noise - full of the kind of heavily bassey sound we're hearing alot of from Dubsided. He starts it off with some severe bassline from Detboi, who verges on baltimore bass, and drops into [...]

Proxy...what is there to say? He's Russian, very mysterious, and his tracks are amazing. His music simply sounds...foreign. Altough we are all used to foreign electronic music, Proxy's stuff is just not the same. It makes total sense to play these tracks in a warehouse during the Russian winter to warm everyone up. His sound traumatized me a bit at first, because it brings electronic music down to a very rough, hardcore level. This level is RAVE, not nu rave...real european RAVE. Fortunately for the world he was discovered by Montreal's coolest record label, Turbo Recordings. Through the internet, [...]

I got a message from Johnny Love over at GUNS'n'BOMBS the other day. He was talking about being in Chicago either this weekend or next. I tried to get further details, but didn't hear back from him. After searching around a bit, I found out courtesy of Sleazy V what the deal is. They'll be playing at The Dick House (...haha) right south of the Pink Line, go figure. It's at 2501 W.25th (Map Here) . Here's a little preview. See ya there. Guns'N'Bombs - Nothing Is Getting Us [...]
Because I am so excited about the Riot In Belgium show coming up on wednesday I thought I'd throw up a quick little "collected works of" post for them. Finally Chicago is starting to realize that theres more music out there than fucking house and mash up. (Most of) The Collected Works Of Riot In Belgium The latest track and subsequent remixes: Riot In Belgium - La Musique Riot In Belgium - La Musique (JBAG re-edit) Riot In Belgium - La Musique (Revolver Edit) Riot In Belgium - La Musique (Sinden rmx) Riot In [...]

Another weekly segment im kicking off is artist of the week, its dedicated to artists who time after time deliver the goods with new tracks or remixes and deserve a special mention. This week the title goes to Aussie boys "Riot In Belgium", who need no further introduction, It seems that every track or remix these guys drop is an instant crowd favourite, and no exception was "La Musique", every time this song comes on people just go crazy, Ive included mp3's of the original along with new remixes from Sinden, Revolver, Oohee & Loot plus some of [...]

artwork: the world If it's Tuesday, this must be Belgium. Have you ever gone on one of those race-throughout-Europe trips, where you stay in as many countries as nights? Well clearly the geography of the area makes that easier to do there than in other places (I remember thinking it was so cool that my Dutch friends would sometimes go to a different country just for dinner), but you may be missing far more than you're actually getting. There's something to be said for staying in places [...]
