We got the chance to sit down with the NYC duo known as The Disco Fries (simply Nick and Danny to their pals) in Miami for a minute and chatted musical influences, food, life on the road and what everyone should shut up about. If you're not already up on this duo, pay attention. These two have come a long way since the days of making tunes in their dorm room with a cheap handle of vodka in hand. Big releases, big labels, lots of touring…the future is bright. In addition to our chat [...]

The 18th release on Swedish label, Mouseville Records , will showcase the highly awaited return of Eric Prydz 's techno based alter ego, Cirez D . With the many monikers that Pryda has, Cirez D has always been a fan favorite with classic releases such as ' On & Off ' and ' Raptor '. This darker, more edgy side of Prydz's production has been seriously anticipated ever since he played as Cirez D in Miami this for WMC this year. With a two-track release, Cirez D [...]

Surprise surprise - Prydz comes out with another absolute bomb. He's easily going to go down as one of the greats. Too bad many young producers just aren't following his lead. In a recent interview Eric said when he wants to hear good music, he makes it himself (something along those lines). Much respect, Eric. This cut follows in the same vein as many of Eric's productions, albeit goes a bit harder (more on towards the Cirez D portion of the spectrum). Cheers. -lev Power Drive (Original Mix) - Pryda [...]
Eric Prydz , aka Pryda, needs no introduction. The progressive house maestro is back with his newest song, Power Drive , out now on his own Pryda Recordings . It's a magical odyssey that clocks in at nearly 9 minutes and proves once again why he is the king. You know by now what to expect with an Eric Prydz release, and the man does not disappoint. Power Drive is a classic Pryda production in all the ways that matter - slow burning "pseudo" climaxes, spacey, progressive synths, and a dark, pounding bassline. [...]

Eric Prydz aka Pryda just released his newest track 'Power Drive'. Although it's April 1st, we can assure you that this is no April Fool's joke, because this track is great! This song starts off with somewhat of an eerie feel. Around half way through, the track transitions to high energy, while still keeping the eerie feel from the beginning. Overall, the track definitely stays true to its name, a track that would fit a power drive in the middle of the night extremely well. 'Power Drive' is released under Pryda Recordings. Pryda Recordings is Eric Prydz's private [...]
Eric Prydz is back in the studio - releasing his latest Pryda track "Power Drive" on Pryda Recordings today. "Power Drive" is a somewhat of a slow burner, employing many of Prydz's usual lush production tricks to build and break through dramatic and sinister melodies. Pryda may be taking a page out of Cirez D's book on this one, but it's another clear win for the Pryda camp. Whether you're tastes fall in the realms of progressive house, big room, or tech, "Power Drive" will satisfy your senses. Purchase: Beatport [...]
After trending globally on Twitter for what will likely stand as the best Essential Mix of 2013 , Eric Prydz returns to production duties with a brand new original. From it's cryptic opening to blistering breakdown, "Power Drive" is quintessential Pryda , multi-layered, multi-faceted and daringly robust. While most progressive producers have turned their sights on pop-appeal, Pryda continues to deliver classic and true-to-form progressive house. Shrill synthesizers hiss and pop as "Power Drive" builds to it's grinding climax, one that is delivered by monolithic chord progressions, chirping sirens and a percussion section that [...]

2012 was a celebratory year for many dance music fans when Eric Prydz broke the news of his North American return. Now with a solid year of touring under his belt, we can be sure to hear more Pryda on this side of the pond as he now calls Los Angeles home. His latest contribution comes to us as a guest spot on BBC's legendary Essential Mix . Just two hours of pure Prydz bliss, with the majority of tracks coming from the Pryda/Cirez D nomenclature, with a few [...]
It's quite evident that Pryda-protégé Fehrplay is gearing up for a big year. After the successful release of "I Can't Stop It," the Norwegian-born producer is already teasing his next big release. Premiered yesterday on Fehrplay's guest mix for Above & Beyond's Group Therapy 011 , "Phantom" is a charming progressive house production more than a year in the making. Raining chord stabs are immediately reminiscent of Pryda, as the masterful Swede's influence is present throughout the production. "Phantom" has potential to be Fehrplay's best work yet, but we'll wait for the final, mastered version to make that call. No [...]
After the releases of " Incognito " and "Nightride," it's safe to say we've become quite enamored with Fehrplay. The Swede recently made his American debut by opening up for none other than Eric Prydz at New York City's Roseland Ballroom - and Dancing Astronaut was there to capture that magic . While his remix of "Everyday" made waves, Fehrplay has returned with a new original entitled "I Can't Stop It," released today on Pryda Friends. Boasting haunting chords and a hypnotic vocal sample, "I Can't Stop It" is blissful progressive house with conspicuous Prydz influence. With a [...]
