We were going to call Pterodactyl 's new video for "The Break" a collection of still images, but aren't ALL movies technically just a collection of still images? Pterodactyl's just move slow enough for you to see each one, and they don't necessarily make cohesive movements in the traditional sense. You have to see it for yourself above. Science tells us that the Pterodactyl was a flying, beaked dinosaur. In other words, some freakish looking creature with wings, which could be mistaken for anything from a bat with Psoriasis to an iguana in a Toucan Sam costume. It most likely squawked. In case you have not heard, Brooklyn's own Pterodactyl have released their third long player, Spills Out via Jagjaguwar . On this record, the band continues to hone their craft. The Pterodactyl sound started out as abrasive noisepunk (check out a couple early tracks in the bonus section below). Their sound has since evolved into something more psychedelic, something a bit more pop.
