Appointment return with their seventh four-track white label release titled Les Appointment Royale. Each track is a flurry of crunchy drum machines and synth sounds, with a raw, lo-fi approach to production. There's not much information on the Appointment crew, just that the music's composed on analog equipment and recorded to tape, just how we like it. Their sparse but rhythmical style
There was a point at the start of January when I was genuinely worried that I might not like hearing new music any more. For a few days early on in the month nothing I heard excited me. Then suddenly I was deluged by stuff, a chunk of which I posted here just over a week ago. And as I said in that post, it's my plan to post up stuff I've heard and enjoyed every now and then just because there's not the space to cover it all in CMU. MP3: [...]

One of the best DJ's I have heard in the last 12 months has to be Levon Vincent . A master of the decks plying a heady mix of tough house, acid and techno tunes that blow up every dance floor he plays for. He is no slouch on the production side of things with tunes such as "Love Technique" and "Double Jointed Sex Freak (part 2)" under his belt. He now has a new EP "Man or Mistress" which came out a few weeks ago on his Novel Sound imprint. The 3 tracker is [...]
Dalliance #1 by Albient on Mixcloud Dalliance #1 is the first in a newly inaugurated series of assemblages under the auspices of LMYE for those who like to dally with Dance - compiled by MixCzar ' al '. The Dalliance mission is somewhat nebulous – mercurial perhaps, but something vaguely articulable in terms of a Bermudaesque triangle of dance-related genres (techno, bass, IDM) in which the [...]
