Dreamy pop music is not what you typically find on Sirens of Decay. Not even dreamy pop with a pulsing beat. Somehow though, I keep running into this Puro Instinct track called "Dream Lover". " Dream Lover " is their first official release since last year's debut LP Headbangers In Ecstacy and it fills last months emptiness with pure joy right now. A week before the release of his debut album, up-and-coming DJ/producer Strip Steve dropped the video for its lead single, "Astral Projection" , featuring the Ariel Pink -approved Puro Instinct on vocal duties. The oddball collaboration between a producer off of Boyz Noise 's label and a dream-pop duo, results in a uniqueness that can only be described as a disco-tinged Beach House -y track. California based dream pop duo Puro Instinct (formerly Pearl Harbor) have released a new track titled 'Dream Lover', a nostalgic and hard to classify track which might fit along in the shoegaze genre. The track is rumored to be featured on a new EP that should be released later in 2012.
Cali duo Puro Instinct have a lovely new tune out in “Dream-Lover”. If the seagulls don’t bring you in, than surely the soothing synths will. This track will be on an upcoming EP from the ladies later in the year.
