Push-Pull makes some spastic, sloppy emo punk alternative whatsit. It's not great but it is good. Between Noise and the Indians is kind of like Fugazi if they had more attitude and a sense of humor. Or maybe they did. I don't know, I was never really into Fugazi. It's clear they have loads of fun writing and recording and making light of their lives and everything. It comes through in the tone of the album. But it's not so jokey that they're [...]

Push-Pull is a Bloomington, Indiana trio that has taken the definition of "erratic" to heart and completely ran with it. Their music is a mixture of oddness that spans the depths of progressive rock, post-punk, and electronics to create a sound that is…well just plain weird at times but impressively tuneful and melodic in many ways too. Between Noise and the Indians is the bands follow up to their debut album Hello Soldier that appeared on Sickroom Records a couple years ago. [...]

Push-Pull - Brain Fever (Joyful Noise 2007) Push-Pull - 3 EP / Joyful Noise One of the best parts about 3 is its brevity. In fact, in the most neglected traditions of blogging, we're going to keep this review short in the spirit of Bloomington, Indiana's Push-Pull. These guys - all of whom are affectionately named Mike - tear through their six-pack faster than an awkward neighbor at a wedding reception. Even with a bonus track buried long after "Union Songs" wraps up, this [...]
