New track from RAC, who can do no wrong when it comes to the remix. Zee Avi is an artist signed to Jack Johnson's Brushfire Records back in 2009. You can hear the laid-back style that probably appealed to Johnson in the original song (video below), but the remix takes it to a whole new level. Check the BGB archive of RAC remixes here . Zee Avi - "Concrete Wall (RAC Remix)"

Guess who? Yup, that's right one of our favorites, RAC , have come up with yet another sweet remix. This time the artist is completely new to our website and completely new to my ears. I'm hoping that many of you have already heard of Zee Avi but if you haven't I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with what you're about to hear. Obviously, the music isn't completely hers in this version but that voice sure is. We sure do love our women musicians around here and Ms. Avi is no exception to that. The song "Concrete Wall" [...]
Favorite track of 2012, so far. Yea, we're only a month in, but I find something fresh in this every.damn.time I listen to it. I'd confuse this for the original because of how good it is, but RAC gets so electro weird on it that it goes far beyond any original's experimentation limit. It's no secret that we're big fans of the Remix Artist Collective (RAC) here at Remix86, but I think this is actually the first time we've ever posted one of Andrew Maury's remixes. His most recent remix of Zee Avi 's Concrete Wall is a sultry mix of sublime feminine vocals and complimenting guitar and synth riffs. One of my favourite things about RAC mixes is that their accompanying sounds, while alluring and powerfully skillful, never take away from the vocalist or the original track that they are remixing. Andrew and Andre [...]
DJ collective RAC have been a major factor in the remix world since their formation. Originally from Porto, Portugal, founding member André Allen Anjos started the group in 2007, and has gone on to score prime remix real estate on singles by The Shins, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Washed Out, among several others. RAC are famous [...]

![REAL ESTATE, CHAIRLIFT, CLOUD NOTHINGS [SUGGESTED NYC CONCERTS]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4007374_lg.jpg)
Photo source: Facebook What's going on in the world of indie music here in New York City this week? After a recent opening gig for with Girls , Real Estate is playing a $5 show near their home across the Hudson in Jersey, both Chairlift and Cloud Nothings are both playing in support of their new records (not the same place/time), and, among other things, Antony and the Johnsons is hitting the stage at Radio City Music Hall. Thanks [...]

DJ Fergie Ferg sent this over a day or so ago, and in the heat of the first week of school, it took me a moment to get it up. I'm kicking myself for it now, because this is really a great mashup; sounds very natural. Tracks featured are: Wale - Lotus Flower Bomb Feat. Miguel Washed Out - New Theory (RAC Mix) Birdy - District Sleeps Alone Tonight John Lennon - Imagine Great artwork too. Download: DJ Fergie Ferg - Lotus Flower Theory

I almost never post remixes. I almost never post remixes of mainly electronic songs. I almost never do a lot of things, but this RAC mix of my favorite Delorean song was too good to pass up. RAC are pretty much the go-to for 'indie' remixes, and eschew the typical chop and cut styles, hip hop, and super dance beats to create new interpretations of great songs. Anyway, this cover takes an already dreamy song and stretches it out with a bunch of added minimalistic sections and gorgeous build ups. [...]
OK, so, Depeche Mode reMixes, particularly reMixes of ‘Enjoy The Silence’ are usually a sore point for us. ‘Silence’, as well as being one of the greatest songs ever written, is also one of the most reMixed and covered, and 99.9999% of the are shit. There’s barely a handful of reMixes of the track that are any good and only two covers that I can recall. So it’s actually high praise indeed when I say RAC’s rework of the tune doesn’t make me want to be violently ill. RAC’s version has got a [...]

RAC remix for a classic perfect warmup for the weekend
My initial reaction when I saw this was; can my favorite remixer improve on a song that is ridiculously close to being perfect? Not quite sure if he could, but need to give it a few more spins (streams)... Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence (RAC Mix) by RAC
Little needs to be said. Depeche Mode - yes. RAC remix - yes. Enjoy! Depeche Mode - "Enjoy The Silence (RAC Mix)"
The remix artist collective take on Depeche Mode.

One of my favourite acts that I grew up with, Depeche Mode , remixed by another favourite, RAC . It was a while ago we got us a new RAC remix. With this one, they once again show us how a remix should be made! Enjoy the music! Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence (RAC Mix) by RAC
Here are the LOOSE L!P's writers' favorite tracks and tidbits of 2011. No explanation necessary; just trust us. Finally, my list. Disclaimer: I know "Mikayla's Morsels" is just about the lamest title of all time--actually it hurst to have it on here--but I had to stick with the alliteration trend, and you try to think of better. - - - *All links route to YouTube/Soundcloud unless

The Remix Artists Collective (RAC) are by no means new to the remix scene. They have been an anomaly for the past few years, dropping consistently solid mixes to already well-known and loved songs. However, they have flown pretty under the radar as far as blogs go, and credit is finally due. Where 2011 was a year of glitchy beats, neon and heavy bass drops, I foresee 2012 as a year fueled by minimalism, the all-powerful synth… and hopefully - for my skin-tone’s sake - less neon and more pastels. In the past few months, RAC has [...]
