Some songs need remixing to be great, but when they don't it's hard to see how the remix can be much of an improvement. Standing by itself, The Killers "Runaways" is a great tune. Strip away the drums and guitar and you are left with the booming voice of Brandon Flowers. Add in a slower bouncy synth melody and you have the RAC remix. It's not as fast paced as the original but it's a quality remix.

RAC are back with another tasty remix, this time a take on the Killers' "Runaways." In the same vein as their signature indie-electronic sound, the track starts out with cosmic synths and a tropical melody as RAC gently morph the rock anthem into a dance beat. The song succeeds because of its simplicity; RAC strips out the wall of guitars and synth to bring out Brandon Flowers' voice. Another good one - can't wait to see what the collective delivers next. Powerslug is shaping up to have their best year yet. So far, They have outdone themselves with great shows and awesome talent. The concert they put on this weekend for Le Youth and RAC had to be one of the best events I have been to. With Le Youth opening up with some smooth indie beats he set the crowd up for the always amazing party that RAC puts on. Indie-pop has been gathering strength recently and at the core of its expansion is the LA quintet, Youngblood Hawke . Announced today, the band will be launching a series of West Coast tour dates, starting on March 7th in LA. With their first full-length EP dropping in April, this year will be pretty big for these guys, so keep an ear out for them.
