With A Better Tomorrow set for release in July, the Wu-Tang Clan dug deep into the RZA vaults to unveil the previously unreleased "Execution In Autumn." It's classic Wu, featuring the aforementioned RZA, Raekwon , Inspectah Deck , and U-God , with production from Frank Dukes . Whether or not "Execution In Autumn" makes the release of A Better Tomorrow isn't certain, however. This could just be a cool prize beforehand. The single will be available as a 7" as well for a surprisingly decent $.50, [...]

With the impending release of their new album, A Better Tomorrow , the RZA has seen fit to open up the Wu-Tang vault and give us a previously unreleased nugget of Wu-Tang gold. “Execution In Autumn” features an all-star line up Inspectah Deck, Raekwon, RZA and U-God doing what they do best. It's a tease at only three minutes five seconds, but any Wu-Tang is good Wu-Tang. Stream it below. STREAM: Wu-Tang Clan– “Execution In Autumn”

Funkmaster Flex lets loose another burner from French's upcoming Excuse My French LP with "We Go Wherever We Want". Not only does the track sample Wu-Tang's classic '95 track "Ice Cream", FM gets some assistance from Wu Man Chef in the form of a fresh sixteen bars. French's flow is the same here as it is on just about every track he's on (not that we're complaining necessarily); you could put these rhymes over "Pop That", "Shot Caller", "Freaks" w/e and probably have a cool "mash-up". R&B's most influential receding hairline Ne-Yo brings his usual high flying panache [...]

It's kind of cool to see a Wu-Tang Clan song on Bandcamp—it seems like an unlikely pairing but it's a juxtaposition that reveals where the musical landscape of 2013 has taken us— straight into the digital era. Wu-Tang has promised a new album is in the works, A Better Tomorrow is slated for release in July, [...]

The Wu-Tang Clan reunion is going strong, with a 20th anniversary album called A Better Tomorrow planned for this year , and a hologram of Ol' Dirty Bastard joining the Clan on stage for their performances at Rock the Bells . It's been a while since we've heard new material under the Wu-Tang banner, but you can now check an unreleased track titled "Execution in Autumn". Taken from "the personal vaults of the RZA," the track features verses from Inspectah Deck, Raekwon, RZA and U-God in a tag-team, old school [...]

Looks like Jay is back on his real rap sh*t. New York's chef MC Raekwon took to twitter to tease his fans about an upcoming collaboration with Jay-Z. Longtime Roc A&R Lenny S also blasted the pic. This is definitely a long awaited collaboration for any Jay-Z & Raekwon fans and shouldn't disappoint. Stay tuned for more info. The potrait of a power meeting and a rare moment in rap between Jay-Z and Raekwon, snapped by Lenny S. , who posted it on his Instagram with the caption "We workin on Real Rap shit over here. JAY x RAE #RocNation #Wu." To this day, I contend that if it weren't for Pac, the Ghostface/Raekwon versus Biggie/Jay battle would have set NYC on fire. It's probably at the top of my Hip-Hop "what ifs."

As history has proven over and over again, it's a very rare occurrence when a Wu Tang + R&B hook recipe doesn't end up equating sheer dopeness. Raekwon 's "All About You" (a track originally heard all tagged up on Funkmaster Flex's recent Who You Mad At? Me Or Yourself? mixtape and one that could possibly end up a future entry on his forthcoming F.I.L.A. (Fly International Luxurious Art) solo release) is a bit slicker than your average utilization of the formula-thanks to longtime hitmaker/ producer [...]

New heat from Raekwon "Son Of Sam" produced by Frank G. & RoadsArt.

There are few storytellers in Hip-Hop that possess Raekwon the Chef’s attention to detail and flair for the dramatic. Nothing gets past him on his latest release, “Son of Sam”. Rae's so observant that outfits, reputations, potential schemes and the schemers behind them all make it to his two verse snapshot of a New York City street life. His ability to paint his tales so vividly, including perspective and shading in addition to his neon wordplay, remains as sharp as ever.

There has to be an urban legend floating around somewhere that the members of Wu Tang have immortal styles. Regardless of it coming out in the mid-90s or today, the members of legendary collective never seem to lose even an ounce of a step. If the new Ghostface Killah output 12 Reasons To Die wasn't convincing enough, Raekwon's "Son Of Sam" should. With the help of producers Frank G and Roads-Art , the jazzy rhythms are paced by the cut-throat verses from The Chef. It's a serious [...]
Having trouble waiting for Raekown's F.I.L.A. album that's due out later this year? If so, The Chef has just dropped off the following lossie to help tide you over. The infectious Frank G. & RoadsArt produced beat mixed with the well used Melvin Bliss sample probably means I'll be listening to this one on repeat for a few days. You know, in between listening to Chance The Rapper's Acid Rap over and [...] Raekwon – Son Of Sam is a post from: That Hip Hop Blog

With his F.I.L.A. album on the way, Raekwon decided to give his fans an appetizer of sorts this lovely Friday afternoon. It arrives in the form of "Son of Sam", a sample-heavy burner driven by a slick break, chunky piano, and Rae's sharp bars. I know I can't be the only one wondering if his new album will get here before or after the Wu-Tang Clan's full-length, A Better Tomorrow , because these guys definitely aren't going to be happy with any kind of overlap. Listen to "Son of Sam" below.

This sounds like the New York Hip-Hop I used to know. When rappers complained about Governor Pataki, bought weed from a mysterious figure named Branson, and were significantly less concerned about how much flyer they were than their competition. Veteran New York microphone titans Styles P and Raekwon join Mobb Deep's Havoc for the latest release from his upcoming project 13 , "Favorite Rap Stars." A muddy bassline, sirens, and a somber guitar sample punctuate production that is better described with a facial expression than a word. I suppose "nasty" almost covers it. Styles [...]
