The Voodoo Festival has finally revealed the specifics on their stage lineups for the weekend of October 26-28th. There are far too many bands to go into extensive detail here, but if you click on this link you'll be magically transported to their website. The festival is sporting a pretty nice lineup this year, and certainly anything that brings money into New Orleans is a decent cause. I've posted a few MP3's from some of the big names below! Listen: BRMC - Lien On Your Dreams [...]

Song Washington Social Club ~ " Bigger Than Your Boyfriend " http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =ineMN5cd3sU ~DC Style~ On the Dischord label. That's good enough for me. I first started listening to WSC when I heard the song "River and the Road" a year or two ago. I think I liked it mostly because it reminded me of River Road and my old hood growing up. Now add to it that they are supposed to have [...]
When we were young, during the balmy summer holidays of 1992, we enjoyed nothing more than rolling around under the sun bellowing FUCK YOU, I WON'T DO WHAT YOU TELL ME at anyone who would listen...
These are more appropriate for drunken Friday night revelry, than rainy Monday evenings, but I'm sorry - it's all I've got for you. Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit (Patrick Alavi Rerox Edit) [ Info ] The typical student anthem remade so that it's still relevant at a time when it's become cool for indie-kids to branch out and listen to electro. A time when it's ok to go to an indie-disco where it's like, you know, an actual disco. Arty girls looking beautiful but going crazy on the dancefloor; the [...]

What's up our collected earses What can we say? We've got some eclectastic tastebuds, eardrums and then some. Right now, OTB's pretty hot on Wilco's ' Handshake Drugs ,' Rage's ' Year of tha Boomerang ,' and Neil Young's ' Down to the Wire .' You can click on the track names to listen and you can purchase those disks here , here and here . JT's always got a healthy love affair going on while taking shots [of wheat grass!]. This week he's slowly giving [...]
Rage Against the Machine convient bien à ce mood.

RIDICULOUS. Rage Against The Machine - Killing in the Name (SebastiAn's late night laptop edit) (right click, save-as) MIXTAPE IN THE WORKS FROM BUL!M!ATRON!

What an amazing feeling it must have been for those awaiting Rage Against The Machine 's performance this past weekend at the Coachella Festival. Sweaty, red from the day's sun and tired - yet fully aware that what you were going to see what might possibly be the most compelling performance the festival had seen since RATM last took the stage at the initial Coachella (all due respect to Björk , her performance the day before was said to be have been fantastic as well). "Good evening, we are Rage Against The Machine from [...]

Medical disclaimer for RATM fans: The below music may cause dizziness, diarrhea and a severe sense of worthlessness for not sacking up and buying that Coachella ticket. But mainly, diarrhea. As several thousand lucky assbaskets will witness first-hand this evening, few bands command the stage like Rage Against The Machine. Tonight, they battle Los Angeles for the first time since 2000. And while a few measly audio files can do their live sound no justice, here are some tracks that may just goosebump—if [...]
The work week is over, so not many will see this before Sunday's RATM show. I'll try to dig up my old bootlegs tomorrow and give you loyalists a hearty Part Six. In any case, here's Part Five of our five -to-seven-part Rage countdown series. RATM—Black Steel In The Hour Of Chaos (Public Enemy) RATM—Take The Power Back (Live)

Part four of our four-to-seven-part series. These certainly are not "rare" Rage tunes, but they at least appear to be new to the blogosphere. Both are firmly in my RATM top ten. RATM—Without A Face I can think of several "rap-rock" bands who might want to give this a hard listen. RATM—Maggie's Farm Is there a cooler Bob Dylan cover out there? Probably not. Stay tuned...the real goodies are still [...]

My vote for best American festival goes to Goldenvoice 's consistently good Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival going on this weekend. Missingtoof will be dancing in the desert for three days! If you're headed there too, I'm sure you're equally excited about what you're going to be able to see and stressed out about all the stuff you're undoubtedly going to have to miss... Talk about tough decisions! Here's the breakdown of what's happening this weekend in Indio, California this weekend: [...]

Thought you might enjoy this recent ad , written by my buddy and former co-worker, John Battle. Must have been a fun shoot. Here's another from the same campaign . -- And now, time for part two of our four-to-seven-part series of rare/unblogged RATM tracks. This one's from '96. RATM—People Of The Sun -- And how 'bout Brad May punching the christ out of Kim Johnsson ...just for good measure.

Love is central. It drives all that I do, in all its forms. I love to paint and it is my 'one love'...among many. .sylvia ji. Here is a current playlist that I'm listening to: " The Specialist " by Interpol " Ceremony " by New Order [...]
What's with this upcoming Rad Girls show on Fuse ? Quite a misogynistic trailer, no?. That milk thing is a bit unsettling; particularly Johnny Porno's background commentary. Oh well...if it's as tactful as Pants-Off Dance-Off, I'm in. The Rage reunion is less than a week away, friends. I'll do my best to post a couple rare—or at least unblogged—RATM tracks each day 'til Coachella . Wish I could be there. Let's start with a couple early joints: RATM—Darkness [...]
I am now preparing for my semi-annual pilgrimage to the wonder that is the Indio polo playing fields for this year's Coachella Music Festival . Unfortunately, Chris won't be going so this won't be a surround sound experience but hopefully I will be able to recount sordid details involving Bjork, Peaches and an unidentified piece of lady's undergarment. Or not. But either way, I am buying lots of sunscreen, getting out my LA sized super shades and will be shaking it like the best of them come Friday. This year marks the [...]
Off the strength of his powerhouse performance at the Radio and Television Correspondents' Association dinner, MC Rove has been signed to a multi-album deal at "gangsta rap's" most renowned label, Interscope. With hip-hop sales flagging of late, Jimmy Iovine and Co. claim that MC Rove is exactly the sort of new talent that the label needs to actively pursue. "It's no secret that we like our rappers oozing with street cred," Iovine said. "From 50 Cent to Young Buck, to back when we had 'Pac, the big bucks come when rappers forget [...]
