Now, the band's Facebook page points us to a video compilation featuring footage of their entire set at last month's L.A. Rising . Rage Against The Machine, America's great rock champions against injustice, reunited this past weekend to headline the L.A. Rising festival, their first major hometown concert in a decade. They played a roaring, raging set that left no one dissatisfied. After the show, bassist Tim Commerford said the group has been trying out new material, and vocalist Zach de la Rocha has promised a new album sometime soon. Guitarist Tom Morello, however, has said there is nothing new on the horizon for RATM - so we'll see. In the meantime, dig this video from L.A. Rising, with [...]

Rage Against The Machine headlined this weekend's LA Rising show at the Memorial Coliseum . It got pretty wild and hot: there was a FIRE in the moshpit (you can see for yourself). Our brave photographer Marcello Ambriz was there to get some amazing shots of what may be Rage Against The Machine's final show ever. Check them out inside and stay tuned for our review coming up later today.
Rage Against The Machine returned to the live scene in '08 after announcing their hiatus in 2000 and it was 9 years prior to that that they made their first ever live outing as a band. Today via CoS / RacingAccidents2 you can watch the bands October 23rd, 1991 performance in front of a small crowd at The Quad in Cal State Northridge. With the band looking unlikely to play anymore live shows after an appearance at L.A. Rising last weekend so soak it up and maybe in 7 years we'll get another reunion tour or something? We [...]
It was on October 23th 1991, almost 20 years ago that Rage Against The Machine made their first public performance ever and it was filmed! Thanks to the Internet, the video has been uploaded on Youtube and can watch it below.

They should have called it "L.A. Raging." Rage Against the Machine punctuated L.A. Rising on Saturday a the L.A. Memorial Coliseum with renewed battle cries and thundering rock, providing a big finish to nine hours of music. Muse, Rise Against, Lauryn Hill, El Gran Silencio and Immortal Technique also delivered the goods. Check out Steve Appleford's review on RollingStone.com . Concert photography by Scott Dudelson

photos by Debi Del Grande ... When Rage Against the Machine lead singer-provocateur Zack de la Rocha stood before 60,000 people, raised his fist, barked out wicked smart, superbly flowed calls to action, pointed out the disparity between rich and poor, spit venom at the billionaires and wondered on their power, the sense of no future that has ignited unrest throughout the world in 2011 felt shockingly, palpably present. ...Throughout the hour-and-15-minute set, Rage pulled its weight, proved itself to be one [...]
Yesterday, Rage Against the Machine stormed L.A. Rising for a triumphant performance that could possibly be their last live show . But before all that ever went down, the band had to start somewhere; in this case, that somewhere was The Quad at Cal State Northridge. Presented above is the band's near-hour-long first public show from October 23rd, 1991 (with full setlist below.) No matter what the future may hold, one thing is certain: rough edges aside, they were ragin' from the very start. Thanks to YouTube user RacingAccidents2 for the [...]

Roughly 60,000 strong turned out to the LA Coliseum for LA Rising which featured a line-up curated and headlined by Rage Against The Machine. Muse, Rise Against, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Immortal Technique and El Gran Silencio rounded out a bill that included fires, multiple circle pits, giant eye balloons, and lots of guitar shredding.

After Rage Against the Machine's two night stay at Los Angeles' Grand Olympic Auditorium 11 long years ago, few would've guessed it to be the last their hometown would see of them. Rage disbanded not long after and even following their lauded reunion shows at Coachella and Rock the Bells in '07, Rage hasn't played a hometown show aside from an abruptly announced benefit gig in Hollywood last July that sold out in under two minutes. With no dates anywhere announced since October of last year, and those ever-present rumors of the band calling it quits for the second time, [...]

Suicide Sundaes – stop your grinnin' and drop your linen. Every Sunday electblake of Earmilk will bring you the weeks dirty servings, and some old favorites through a throwdown-throwback to simpler times. A time when bangers were big, remixes were bigger, the bassline bled, and we didn't care about anything as long as came in kicking and left screaming. To hell with sketchy Sunday, we want to shove another dragon down the hole. Why the delay? Well, I've been thinking. Lately I've been reconsidering the entire feature and it's purpose here. To be frank, originally [...]

Muse - Sing for Absolution "there's nowhere left to hide in no one to confide the truth burns deep inside and will never die" I had to post and listen to this song since it wasn't performed last night, my favorite Muse song, but still Muse was ammaaazzziiiing. This is my second time seeing them live, although my friends would beg to differ. I saw them about.... maybe 4 years or so ago? and well I had an extremely long day, and we had very crappy seats, so I kind of [...]
