A new leak from Ramson Badbonez' looming album has hit the 'net. He and Mystro both go in with countless food puns over a bouncing rhythm that's all hums and whistles thanks to a rare spotting of Harry Love. Bad Influence is out on 27 August, while first single My Shit is out now.

Badbonez pulls zero punches on the first one off his long-awaited Bad Influence album, which will have the Boot Records stamp on it when it sees a release on 27 August. Here the Task Force affiliate guns fakes and tight-garment wearers, safeguarding the underground to the fullest. You can cop My Sh*t on the 23rd of this month. Smashing shit up in that dilapidated warehouse looks like a right larf.

Oooooof! The Last Skeptik comes up trumps on this monster beat, led by a moaning bassline that's been EQ'd to sound like it's 20,000 leagues under the sea. Throw an unexpected collaboration between Little Dee, Stylah, Ramson Badbonez and Awate into the mix and you've got a winner. This set is quickly shaping up to one of 2012's finest. Yet another mixtape from Ramson Badbonez. The concept here is pretty straightforward, Badbonez spitting over Dilla instrumentals. Don't expect any carefully crafted songs here, not one of the tracks even reaches as far as 2 minutes long. That said, Badbonez over beats as good as this for free, can't be a bad thing now can it?...

Badbonez does his thing over a selection of the obsessively revered and exceptionally talented J Dilla's beats. The anniversary of Yancey's passing lands on the 10 th of February, so consider this a timely homage to Detroit's late dignitary and one of the most respected men to make hip hop.

Ramson Badbonez absolutely loves a mixtape. On top of this release, there are 2 volumes of 'The Official', Tales From The Staircase, Bone Marrow and Dilla and BIG tribute tapes in the last couple of years. At least. There could easily be a couple more that I've overlooked. Yet, no album, although The Official Vol. 2 was basically an album in all but name, containing entirely original production. Currently scheduled for a release sometime next year, here's hoping the debut LP will be worth the wait. This level of output is both a good and a bad thing. [...]
