Veteran Berkeley punkers Rancid are, quite simply, my favorite band of all time. If the ninth-grade me hadn't stumbled across them, I would be a very different and possibly dead person. Rancid's last album, the pretty-great Let The Dominoes Fall, is now three and a half years old, so I am deeply amped about the existence of a new Rancid song. In recognition of the platinum anniversary, Pirate Press Records has teamed with the pioneering punks to release the outfit's entire discography in one, too-hot-to-hold 73 box set their calling, simply, Essentials . Every recording the band ever released, from their Self-Titled 1992 EP to 20092s Let The Dominoes Fall , has been remastered and repressed onto 46 73 vinyls.
