The Killers and Surfer Blood coincidentally cover the same track-- Raspberries' 'Go All the Way'

Even though Dark Shadows will probably be remembered as the first bomb of the 2012 Summer movie season, the closing credits to the film held a nice surprise. The Killers popped up, performing a cover of The Raspberries' 1972 hit, "Go All The Way". The Tim Burton/Johnny Depp adaptation of Dark Shadows didn't have a great weekend. It opened to $29 million in its first weekend - more money than any of us will ever see in our lifetimes, but nowhere near as much as The Avengers pulled in. The Avengers is still in theaters and is still the big draw in its second week. It also had a brand new song from Soundgarden in its credits and on its soundtrack. The new Johnny Depp movie, Dark Shadows , is out this weekend and features a new cover song from The Killers. We haven't heard any new music from The Killers since last December with their charity single, but today comes a treat from the Las Vegas band — a cover of The Raspberries ' 1972 song "Go All The Way" , which will play during Tim Burton and Johnny Depp's Dark Shadows, which hits theaters this weekend. Surfer Blood take time out while working on their next project to cover the Raspberries hit 'Go All The Way.' Local natives Raspberry Bulbs and Villains kicked off New York City's CMJ New Music Marathon with a raucous night of thrashy black metal punk at Brooklyn's Saint Vitus on Tuesday, October 18.
