I've been to some see some ace popstars recently - Eliza Doolittle, Girls Can't Catch, Mini Viva at a Next Big Thing pop concert and Rodrigo Moratto, Tecnoctitlan and Red Blooded Women at EQ Eliza Doolittle sings jazz low-fi pop songs with a classy-but-street verve. I was really surprised by the strength of her voice. [...]

p The last time I blogged about Brit pop girl band Red Blooded Women was when they released a cover of Depeche Mode's "Enjoy The Silence" earlier this year. It's been quiet since then, but the group has been working in the studio on their full-length LP.p Slated as the next Sugababes (or Atomic Kitten for that matter), the trio of Candy, Carly and Li puts out sleek and synthy girl power pop that is a pleasure of the guiltiest kind. I love this kind of stuff. Superfraiche! Check out a guilt-free MP3 of JM's remix of brand-new track [...]
Heads We Dance are almost ready to drop their new remix album "Dance Technology", compiled from the best remixes of their past singles, as well as four brand new remixes. The album will contain remixes from Louis La Roche, Sidechains, Don Diablo and Frankmusik among others. The first taster of new stuff has come in the form of a classy rework from German house king Justin Faust, who transforms "You Are Never Alone With Model 21" from cheesy synthesised glam rock into a nugget of sleek disco pop. This remix also features new vocals sung entirely by the [...]

photo: msoteris Quite a big post from me today, its all a bit mixed up but oh well. Firstly, Red Blooded Women 's cover of Depeche Mode 's classic Enjoy The Silence has been released. The Designer Drugs remix has been around since February and personally I prefer it as it just makes the actual version seem a lot more boring. With regards to the DM original, RBW's version isn't particularly brilliant, they don't seem to have changed much at all [...]

Red Blooded Women have premiered the video for their current single, a cover of Depeche Mode's 'Enjoy The Silence' that we first told you about here . As much as the track is a fantastic tribute to The Mode's original, the video is a tribute to Anton Corbijn's original video, seeing the girls and their deck chairs trying to find silence in the middle of LDN. Visit Red Blooded Women's YouTube channel [...]

People send me a lot of remixes. A LOT. More than I could ever hope to listen to. I suppose it's a sort of prerequisite for being a blogger these days, after all, remixes are a significant attention-grabber for Blogland. With the sheer number being produced, it goes without saying that a lot of them fall into the not-so-great category. Still, I receive a lot of really good mixes. The trouble is, I don't feel I can justify writing 5 or 6 entires a week where I simply say 'Hey, listen to [...]
Well here's something a bit unexpected: Peter, Björn and John are set to open for Depeche Mode on their American tour this summer. Seems like a bit of an odd choice, mixing a bubbly Swedish indie pop trio with brooding British electropop legends, but hey, it might work. DM's other opening act, Ladytron , makes more sense - both in the electropop and brooding regard - but it will be fun to see how Depeche fans welcome the Swedes. If anything I bet they will find it hard not to sing along to "Young Folks". Now, here's a butt load of tour dates: [...]

Nate did a post the other week about La Roux but missed this awesome remix by The Twelves . La Roux - In For The Kill (The Twelves Remix) I love hearing old songs covered and remixed and this is one track that I used to play all the time when I was younger. I was stoked when a Designer Drugs remix of 'Enjoy The Silence' turned up in my mail. Red Blooded Women covered it... DD Remixed it. Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence (Designer Drugs [...]
It was another busy week last week, finishing up grant applications and trying to get all my work done before spring break. One of my best friends from home got into grad school last week, so I went up to Wesleyan University to visit him and to celebrate. Downtown Middletown was much nicer than I expected (which is often people's response to New Haven, as well), and I liked the neighborhoods around campus. The social scene there wasn't too different, although people head out a bit later than my usual routine. Surprisingly diverse campus, too, for a small liberal arts [...]

Our pumping friend Heads We Dance shared a new remix with us that's like like a like and like my momma tells your momma what 2 do when you're not hip enuff and do not know what 2 do when you realize the 90s are gone. Heads We Dance are there for you. HWD come along with a remix for new British girl-pop group Red Blooded Women . It's a cover of the Depeche Mode classic "Enjoy The Silence" with a little Pet Shop Boys vibe on it - inspired by their winning of the [...]
photo: ferology Instead of doing a big random post every now and again with lots of writing I'm now just gonna start doing a weekly round-up of (usually) new tracks which have taken my fancy. Will add to each one as each week goes on! † The Prodigy - Omen (Hervé's End Of The World remix) Listen on Zippyshare † Tiga - Mind Dimension (The Bloody Beetroots remix) Listen on Zshare † [...]

Heads We Dance were nice enough to take some time out of recording their debut album to fill us in on their journey from humble beginnings, their new projects and to talk album album album! Sex 4 Ears: Lets start from the beginning. When did you guys meet and what made you want to begin writing and performing music together? Yoni: Me and Pete used to be in a band together and we played a gig up in Newcastle with Becky's old band. She obviously loved [...]

British girl pop group Red Blooded Women did a cover of Depeche Mode 's " Enjoy The Silence ". We find it very odd that they did it in the first place. They may be the future girl group to rule all tweens, but covering Depeche Mode? They are absolutely made for commercial success and are after all a girl group, but it feels like an identity clash. They wanna be the gritty, electro loving girl goup but they sound like they like Rihanna more [...]
Leeds electro group "Heads We Dance" return yet again with a remix of Red Blooded Women's cover of Depeche Mode's "Enjoy The Silence". They take the tune in a Pet Shop Boy's direction because they were inspired by their claiming the Lifetime achievement award at the Brit awards. If you're looking for an epic start to your Thursday, here it is! Red Blooded Women - Enjoy The Silence (Depeche Mode Cover, Heads We Dance Remix) AZLTRON MUSIC BLOG

Photo: Erik Bjørnson Lunke I find myself listening to music. What a great excuse to post some music! Right now, I can't wait for Tiga 's new album Ciao! to come out, so in the meantime, let's listen to an older Tiga-tune: Tiga - Move My Body (Only 4 Erol Mix) Simian Mobile Disco has released their new single, it's about some horses . Not sure what I think about it, so while [...]
You wouldn't expect to find a Depeche Mode cover show up on 'ole Kunk but this track to arrive in the gmail a few days back is kinda zany and fun. I hadn't heard of the Red Blooded Women before the email, but they done did themselves a DM cover and Philly's finest, Designer Drugs , revved it up. The result is a song which you'll definitely already want to have knocked back about 5 shots of whatever before hearing, but after passing that threshold your ears will let you crack a smile. [...]
A girly band you say? That's right, Red Blooded Women is a 3 headed girls band from the UK. Of course I'm not that interested in their original song, but what caught my ears is this Designer Drugs remix from their upcoming release "Enjoy the silence". Nice catchy lyrics (I think it's a cover because I know it from somewhere, but can't put my finger on it, hmmmm...) and the nice typical sound from Designer Drugs, not so hard as their track Zombie but still a party killer I say. Red Blooded [...]
