There's no denying that I've been CRAZY focused on a special upcoming album - an album I've, and the whole world, has been waiting for. As a result I've let a few songs slide passed my radar like the wicked Renaissance Man remix of Don't Know When and the party-ready Swims by Boddika & Joy Orbison (a 2012 song of the year nominee by many). So swerve yo. [...]

With Ex- GAMEBOY/GAMEGIRL legend and now DJ/producer legend TRANTER coming down to CANT SAY Melbourne on April 19 to perform an exclusive 'Throwback Set' on April 19, we thought we'd get him to do our 'Guest Soundcloud Wrap' for this week. In case you don't know - TRANTER 's on-stage antics saw him disrobe across the globe to the delight/amusement of many crowds. Now he's honed his giant hands at the art of DJing and making dance music. He dropped an EP on Scattermusic to rapturous acclaim from DJs who have good names like Zombie Disco [...]

11:11 - Tourist Trap ( Renaissance Man Remix) [ mp3 SoundCloud] Two years ago Renaissance Man was asked to remix a track by Guy Gerber and P. Diddy (in the end their whole record was never released). To celebrate Renaissance Man's 10 000th follower on Soundcloud they are giving it away for free.

Number 100 is a special one, not only because of these amazing mixtapes by acts like Justice , Bart B More , Brodinski , SCNTST or John Roman and many others, but rather it's the first post with the new theme. I'm very proud of it. Sorry for all the great submissions I've get for the mixtape monday which were not included, it wasn't possible to add all of them, so I've [...]

Known for his unique style of tribal/minimal techno, Toronto producer John Roman has created something a little different in his guest mix for Metrojolt than what you might hear from him at the club. With classics like "We Control the Beat" and "Nuthin Wrong," as well as new favorites like "The Giver" (Gingy, Bordello remix), and a few productions and remixes from Roman himself, the mix is dark yet dancey, with a seamless variety in track selection. The progression of his remix of Modek's "Up With Me" [...]

Find them at basement nights and warehouse one-offs reaching from New York to Montreal and overseas to Berlin, a collect of conneisseuring clubbers. Void of tasteless vagabonds and cheap standards, looking to give credit where credit is due. The recent flood of clichéd counterfeits has made most music better left unsaid, but it's the rumours looping in our head and tugging at our ego that gives us the need to shine a light. A compulsive urge to spread from one ear to the next, to draw a line between bottle service cogs and what is honestly the cutting edge of electronic dance music. [...]

Renaissance Man are set to release new material following their 2011 LP debut, which generated mixed reviews. Some of us hated it. Some of us loved it. But let's put those mixed feelings aside and look towards the future - Turbo 141 . Their upcoming EP, Call2call , is a collection of booty-poppin' Renaissance Man music I'm sure we've all come to love and what ultimately brought the Finnish duo to the dance. And if you haven't already guessed, the prevalent sound in this EP is cellular phone sounds... Only Renaissance Man can take such a simple [...]

Call2Call is the upcoming single of Renaissance Man , it will be released on January 28th via Turbo Recordings. This is how to make dark techno out of telephone sounds.

Renaissance Man and Joakim in one brilliant track. Yes we know, facepalm....
As a designer, photographer and DJ, Marcelo Burlon has brought many talents to the Italian city.

By Nicholas Hance McElroy A couple of "throwback" vibes from Turbo Recordings' Remix Project EP, which was essentially a showcase of remixed Renaissance Man tunes. The record came out earlier this year and featured reworks from artists like Joakim, Teeth, WhoMadeWho, Dexter, Matthew Herbert, Call Super and those who're listed below. All around very solid and weird.

Do you like fresh sounds? Slick? Suave? Look no further than Funkineven & Fatima. I don't know much about the duo. Only that they've been building their reputations individually until coming together to form an even stronger entity. Phoneline, a conversation-like duet, is said to be their biggest release yet and for good reason. This is some straight up Renaissance Man/Nina Kraviz dj-styled music. Download it! [...]

From one pioneer to another. Number 79 comes with Dave Clark and this time I've found this mix by Joey Beltram. Awesome. But sure don't miss the others by artists like Mumbai Science, Renaissance Man, Mason, Douster and many more. Enjoy! ► ♫ Joey Beltram at Kinetic Sept. 2012 mix Tracklist: n.a. ► ♫ Douster Mix Up at Triple J August 2012 Tracklist: [[Visit blog to check out this spoiler]] [...]

Art by Henrik Isaksson Garnell First a dark, uncomfortable remix for Dan Bodan (DFA Records) and then an equally creepy vibe on his brand new IMPORT/ EXPORT mixtape. Said mixtape features tracks from Joe, How To Dress Well, Matthew Herbert, Jimmy Edgar, Lvis 1990, Mickey Pearce, Blawan, Daphni and Fourtet. From the looks and sound of it, I'd say that Renaissance Man 's got my number for sure.
Finnish duo Renaissance Man returns with their brand new "Import/Export Mixtape", 50 minutes of excellence in the form of tracks from Renaissance Man themselves, Joe, How To Dress Well, Matthew Herbert, Jimmy Edgar, L-Vis 1990, Mickey Pearce, Dan Bodan, Blawan, Daphni and Four Tet.

Even though we live in the internet, nobody said we can't have a little feeling every now and again. '90s-lookin' hip kid Dan Bodan croons earnestly (and beautifully) over relatively sparse atmospheric production, but some choice lyrics elicit a "wait, whut" weird humor reaction. In a good way. Add a pair of remixes in there by Renaissance Man and M.E.S.H.? Too much fun.
