Shoegaze will always remain one of my favorite genres of music, even if I get away from it from time to time, it's something that I always come back to. Granted, shoegaze and dreampop saw their heyday in the early nineties, but today many acts continue to reinvent and push the envelope with the genre. Resplandor heißt das Quartett, das bereits seit einigen Jahren den Gitarrenwänden verfallen ist und schon ein Album mit spanischsprachigen Songs auf Alison Records veröffentlicht hat. Resplandor are from Lima, Peru and they produce a wonderful classic shoegaze sound. The band was formed in 1996 with a sound highly influenced by the shoegaze and noise pop genres of music. They released their first recording in 1998 (Sol de Hiel EP) . Currently the band is recording their third album and they have re-released their 2000 debut album Elipse .
