Robotic Pirate Monkey following up their Sidetrackd EP featuring Sing With Me have got a brand new epic track that does what they do best, combines two completely different genres for a really unique sounding result. They take some real chill reggae lyrics and vibes, and then smash it withs some filthy bass wobbles for a combo that I can't get enough of. This song has that epic feeling, and should definitely be played after indulging into the song. Find some good speakers, turn up the bass, and enjoy! Robotic [...]

It's that time of year again. Time to put the kids to bed and pull out the trees because today is all about giving less f*cks than you ever will on any other day. Its a joyous time when everyone comes together to share a common interest and using it to enhance everything around them. You can't help but draw a connection between music and the holy-est of all plants. They just seem to go together and compliment each other. This is evident in how often it's talk about in music as you'll see below. So today, we are EARMILK, [...]

pic by Raul Oprea Sebastian Yours truly is looking at 3 weeks of holiday, starting tomorrow! I couldn't help but thinking about the tunes I'll be blastin' through the speakers tomorrow... I decided to pick some of those tracks and post 'em up here. A-Trak did a great job mashing up Lil Wayne's "Fireman" with a reggae tune by Richie Spice . The reggae beat coming from "Youths Dem Cold" ( video ) adds a nice summer vibe to the vocals. Lil' Wayne [...]

Time for a bit more of a contempory Reggae feature. Richie Spice aka Richell Bonner is from Rock Hall, Jamaica a suburb of St. Andrew. Spice has his roots in a musical family that includes his older brother Pliers (from the deejay/singer duo Chaka Demus and Pliers of "Murder She Wrote" fame) and singer Spanner Banner (best known for his mid 90s hit "Life Goes On"). I was first exposed to his music when I heard "Youths Dem Cold" on a mixtape by brooklyn based DJ Eleven. DJ A-Trak also coincidently does a Lil Wayne Spice mashup on [...]

Coki's 'Burnin', featuring a Richie Spice number that has been tearing up the d-floor for a while, and Rossi B & Luca's bassy rework of Damian Jr Gong Marley's 'Welcome to Jamrock', originally featuring Nasty Crew. Coki - Burnin (Marijuana) [...]
