So...I suppose I'm a tad bit late to the year-end-best-of-lists party but oh well. Josh already offered up his favorite tracks in the year-end best-of playlist and, while our lists have a lot of crossover, I thought I'd offer up my favorite 50 tracks from the past year. I've struggled with the idea of trying to put a 'best-of' stamp on anything I listen to based solely on the fact that I'm not all that comfortable with the idea of ranking all the tracks I love. This is more a representation of all my favorite tracks from [...]
Quiet. Smooth. Beautiful. All that but there's also something overwhelmingly melancholy about this track, yet it somehow isn't sad . Music Player: P. S. L. W..mp3 [...]

Ricky Eat Acid & Arrange - P. S. L. W. The ever-talented and increasing prolific Rebel favourite Ricky Eat Acid has released a collaboration song with fellow bedroom pop musician Arrange . "P. S. L. W." is a slow grower of a song, beginning with lushly padded production and gentle piano lines that slowly flourish to include sparse electronic percussion and Arrange's raspy and defeated-sounding vocals. The final product is a perfect piece of subdued pop music that wouldn't sound out of place on late nite FM radio and has left me crossing [...]

Our good friends and (obvios) NFOP regulars Arrange and Ricky Eat Acid are unstoppable together with this lovely, new collaboration of theirs, adding Malcom Lacey's mellow vocals to the soulful ambience of Maryland's Sam Ray, whom recently also did a remix of Gem Club 's heartbreakingly beautiful "Twin". If you still haven't heard Arrange's debut album Plantation, do yourself a favour and grab a free digital copy right here , or order one of his limited edition 12 inches while at it. Arrange + Ricky Eat Acid - P.S.L.W Gem Club [...]

Arrange & Ricky Eat Acid - P.S.L.W As trickles of authentic piano carefully descend from their former glories, these intricacies are simultaneously extirpated and engulfed by a soaring resilience; a down-cast and nostalgic arrangement transcended in itself only by the overwhelming elegiac mood which it conveys. Its strange emotional allure, stark admissions to early 90s RnB, and timeless, heart-wrenching delivery, warrants comparisons to How To Dress Well's recent cover of ' Here In Heaven '. The two musicians in question, Baltimore's Ricky Eat Acid and Arrange , Malcolm [...]
Back in July, we posted on a one-off remix Sam Ray aka Ricky Eat Acid dropped for Arrange's Plantation standout When'd You Find Me. His take on the track was brilliantly done and independently... Listen At BIRP!
With this weekend being as non-stop as possible, seems like a good idea for Monday to be a chilled out sort of day (that is, if your work allows it to be). So what fits perfectly with that mood?... [go to the website to read the rest of the article, download mp3s and more]
Arrange & Ricky Eat Acid : P.S.L.W.
