33 year old American singer/songwriter Mayer Hawthorne proves that when it comes to music, you shouldn't judge a CD by it's album cover. On the outside, Hawthorne looks like a geek/hipster hybrid of some kind but OOOH CHILD ...that voice is sweet as candy. A reader of ours suggested we listen to Rizzle Kicks and we haven't looked back since. How has England kept this gem hidden away from the American public? Maybe they haven't and I'm just oblivious. Either way, these talented young men released their debut album, Stereo Typical, just last year and have already played at the O2 Arena. Granted they weren't headlining, but still! A rainy day in London town is the setting for the visual to Mayer Hawthorne 's new version of his track "The Walk" which he released last year. The newly re-vamped version now features Rizzle Kicks . The duo and Mayer, skit their way around Carnaby Street whilst telling a blonde lady of interest (former interest more likely!) that she can indeed, walk right out of their lives. A nice new take on the track and an entertaining video to boot.

Oh My Goodness! Olly Murs has confirmed that he is indeed the opening act for a good portion of One Direction 's American tour this summer. This is FANTASTIC news and should provide Murs with some excellent exposure Stateside. I'm sure American One Direction fans will just eat him alive, considering their fanbase here mainly consists of teenage girls and gay men (myself included in the latter demographic). The rise of Rizzle Kicks in the UK has been phenomenal, the band managing to become bona fide pop stars playing gigs to sold-out screaming crowds of girls (and boys). But if you think their quick-fire delivery would be better suited to some old school hip-hop vibes rather than hanging round with Olly Murs and sampling the likes of Ed Sheeran and Jessie J then this new track will push your buttons. For non-album track Nasty sounds more in homage to Public Enemy than anything that might fancy its chances at being top of the pops. [...]
