![[Listen/Download] – New Song By Vandaveer – "Dig Down Deep"](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3553019_lg.jpg)
Tweet OK time for some interaction folks. I want to know songs that you fell in love with on the first listen. Here's a few of mine, in no particular order: "Climbing To The Moon" - Eels , "Daughters Of The Soho Riots" - The National , "Clubbed To Death" - Rob Dougan , "Invincible" - Muse , "Anyone Else But You" - The Moldy Peaches. Today I added another one to the list with this track, "Dig Down Deep" by [...]

London-based Nathan C has certainly had a successful year, garnering the attention of the some of the world's biggest DJs, including Tiesto , Mark Knight , and Pete Tong . He is also well-known as half of Tastemakers with his friend Ben Preston As a complete sucker for smooth house vocals, I was overtaken by Nathan C's remix of Weak by the UK garage and house group Lickrish Music. Released on the UK label Whartone, this progressive track features some seriously heartfelt vocals performed by Gemma Jay. When I listen [...]
Bynar - Broken by Angels [ mp3 ] Tiesto vs Rob Dougan vs Hybrid vs Leftfield Cinematic & moody, just the way we like it...

After a rather lengthy hiatus due to studying, I'm back with another moody and cinematic mash-up. Broken By Angels has its fair share of breaks and strings, and clocks in at 5:36. If you enjoyed Mulholland Empire , then you're in for a treat. Here are my sources: Tiesto feat. Emily Haines - Knock You Out (Acapella) Rob Dougan - Furious Angels (Instrumental) Rob Dougan - Furious Angels (D-Ranged Remix) Leftfield - Song Of Life Leftfield - Left Of [...]
You may have heard of Fort Fairfield before, if for no other reason than because they're from Sweden. Because of the frequency of how often Sweden produces some of the best music in world, chances are you'll have heard of these guys based on that alone, so this post is for the few of you who haven't heard of them. Of course, every now and again though my logic is skewed and doesn't quite compute, so maybe nobody has heard of them and the 13,000+ views on their MySpace page are just the band themselves constantly refreshing the page. Who [...]
![[Listen] – #MusicMonday – 20 Songs Of The Week – Feb 22nd](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/2369840_lg.jpg)
If you're unaware of what Music Monday is, it's a Twitter recommendation system where users of Twitter share their favourite music, artists, genres, etc in order to not only find new music themselves but help others find new music too. Using the hashtag (#) followed by "MusicMonday" you can easily find new music posted by the thousands of people making recommendations each week. Every #MusicMonday I'll upload a playlist of 20 songs that I've been listening to (new and old) over the [...]

Another installment of the madness of the mellows. Songs to pamper your heart rate. This time I am trying to reach out into different genres for mellow songs. We have some amazing chill trance thanks to Velvet Girl, a slow spanish rock by Nacho Vega, the interesting sounds of Rob Dougan, a remix with the one and only radiohead and soothing vocals from Landon Pigg and new music from Andrew Birds latest EP titled "Fitz & the Dizzyspells" The very song from the Tv Commercial Diamonds are Forever that appeared early last year from Landon Piggs. A slow [...]

[Little instrumental] Rob Dougan , someone who you don't really hear much from these days, whose only/debut album, I stumbled (oooh the iTunes random) back on. Dougan , from Sydney, was famous before he even considered releasing an album or even making an attempt at a compositional career. Clubbed to Death (the only song we know by Rob Dougan ) was picked up in a London nightclub and exploded into one of the most TV/Movie friendly backing tracks ever. From Guiness adverts to blockbuster films (Matrix anyone?), it came to a point [...]

I Speed Into The Darkness At the end of the first verse of 'Where's Captain Kirk?', Spizz fires the question 'is this the start of my insanity?'. YES I hear you all cry, because Spizz was clearly a little unhinged. To be fair though, Spizz Energi are still going strong despite the limited output over the years. Check out the website here . It does, however, make a lovely driving song on those days when you have had a shit day and you need to skidaddle [...]
