His work is a mix of the warmth of Deep House, the astringency of techno and the flashback of acid. He is giving away a track from his last release on Babiczstyle. This is very much a club track, with a simple groove that starts as bongoes and goes into handclaps. It is an epically spacious track but without big peaks, like you'd expect. You may have heard of Rob Babicz - he's been making tunes for about two decades now, under various aliases. In that long career he has been known to make everything from techno, to minimal, and acid house. Robert Babicz takes on the Hardfloor classic from 1992. The original is a 9 minute acid experience. Full of 3032s messing with your head. Has that early German techno brutality and sense of being unstoppable. Robert Babicz takes it further by extending it to 10 minutes. He keeps the 3032s messing with your head but doesn't try to batter you with the majesty of the track. Nothing too radical but a nice reinterpretation. Summer festival dance tents are a fading memory at this stage but the sun's been out this week so let off some steam. Promoters Pogo and We Are Electronic are joining forces tomorrow for a night at Dublin's Twisted Pepper, bringing over two of Europe's heavy hitters. The next three new releases on their own self-titled imprint are off to mastering and tucked away in the middle is this rather tasty wee rework of the acid classic "Acperience 13. Robert Babicz successfully manages to retain the subtlety of the original, layering the 303 patterns and percussion over a head nodder of a bassline and throwing a short n snappy synth hook into the mix for good measure. Set for release in November 2011.

German music producer and dj Robert Babicz released his first album, Colone Acid Science Trax in 1992. Since then he has gone on to be a world-renown dj; performing all over the world and founding several record labels. His most recent label (Babiczstyles) was founded in early 2010 and he released his first EP on the label, "Nektar" in April.
