Tuesday, May 10th has been an ominous day looming on my calendar, full of difficult decisions. At this moment, I still don't know for certain which shows I'll pick, it's that arduous of a task. I've known for a few months about some big and exciting concerts that will be in town tomorrow and of course in the last few weeks some smaller and equally as exciting concerts have been added as well. The grand total of places I'd like to be all at once comes to six different concert venues. And just wait until you hear who all is [...]
![The Powder Kegs [Concert Preview]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/2997951_lg.jpg)
I posted about Philadelphia based The Powder Kegs a few times. I came across their song, "Mariposa", and listened to it almost non-stop for much of April. I put down some money for their Empty Side EP (name your price for the EP on bandcamp ) and have been thoroughly pleased with it. Now they have a full length album in the works expected to be released in 2011. They are sharing one of their new tracks, "When the Body Tricks the Mind" which you can preview below. Tonight at T.T. the Bear's Place [...]
Looking for OPB's In House ? I f you happen to have arrived here while in the midst of searching for some combo resembling "OPB" and "in house" then you've come to the right place-- well, almost. Fact is, what you see here is a relic, a never-to-be-updated-again dinosaur from the pre-OPB days (and given all of the now-dead links in the previous post, it seems some updating was in order). So then, In House is the [...]

It snowed yesterday a little in the morning. That sucks. I was ready to go with some snow songs but then I thought fuck it I hate the winter. Here are some summertime songs. MP3: Louis Armstrong and Billie Holiday- Summertime MP3: The Pogues- On the Sunny Side of the Street MP3: Robert Sarazin Blake- I See Blue Skies Buy: Insound Amazon

Three or four years ago when I was home from school on summer vacation I was surfin the net and I noticed Robert Sarazin Blake was on tour. I checked the dates but realized I had already missed the shows close by. Sadly I scrolled down the list of upcoming dates and saw a show in Philadelphia . I had never been to Philly before and it was 4 hours away but I saw I had off work that day so I decided what the heck. Me and my friend Jim drove the four hours [...]

This isn't a political blog but just for the heck of it I thought I'd throw my two cents in on the democratic presidential debate tonight. And hey here's some music too! Dennis Kucinich - I am proud to call Denis Kucinich my myspace friend. I love Kucinich, I think he's by far the best candidate, or at least has the best ideas… maybe he's too liberal (and short?) [...]

Cute songs! They may not be sonic masterpieces (though that's up for debate), but they sure will make you go "awww!" Team Chocolate - Four Days and Forty Nights Team Chocolate - Horse with Broken Legs The Smittens - Momus, Where are You? The Smittens - Gin and Platonic Paul Baribeau - Strawberry Paul Baribeau - I Miss That Band [...]
