I guess I lose what little blogger cred that I have if I don't post an end-of-the-year "Best Of" list before 2012. I'm getting it in just under the wire. These are my favorite albums on this day, the 31st of December, in the year of our lord 2011, and it is subject to change whenever I feel like it. Seriously, it's been a great year for music, and it was really difficult for me to make this list. Feel free to heap praise on me or call me a pretentious overbearing wretch. [...]

Robyn Ludwick's voice quivers ever so prettily when she sings songs such as "Hollywood," "Out of These Blues" and "For You Baby" on her latest album. Now, before I turn this into a "my view on social media" diatribe, this all comes up because Ms. Robyn Ludwick is another in a long list of artists that [...]

Produced by the legendary Gulf Morlix with a supporting case including Ian "Mac" McLagan, Trish Murphy and Slaid Cleaves, you'd be disappointed to find Robyn Ludwick's album Out of These Blues was anything other than essential listening as these folks don't do mediocre. You won't be, disappointed that is, as Ludwick delivers the goods on this album following on from a pair of critically lauded albums 2005's For So Long Too and Much Desire from 2008, can't really get away with not mentioning the sibling angle of Texan Robyn Ludwick's bio so lets get [...]

Every Wednesday, I feature a brief review of at least one album that has been submitted to me through the ReviewShine website. I have cleverly titled this recurring segment "ReviewShine Wednesday." This week, I'm going to focus on a couple of albums I had already received in a physical form before they were added to the ReviewShine site. First up is Out of These Blues from Texas songwriter Robyn Ludwick . Music is sort of a [...]
