Rockie Fresh is the definition of winning right now. The Chicago emcee went to Diddy's house, is being courted by Rick Ross, and is one of the faces of Chicago's surging Hip Hop scene. Last week Rockie hit SoundScape Studio to work with Thelonious Martin and Closed Sessions. Saturday night we hosted a special Chicago Hip Hop edition of Digital Freshness with MTV2 and Sucker Free. The party was 100% free and featured a diverse lineup of performers ranging from Vic Mensa to Ebone Hoodrich, JUICE to Hollywood Holt, and Scheme to GLC. Sir Michael Rocks took the stage with the Toothpick Clique, and YP brought out Rockie Fresh for a live version of "Insane". ShowYouSuck and Hustle Simmons hosted the special night, and DJs Manny Muscles, Scend, and O-Zone completely killed the party. If you were there, then you already know. This past Wednesday, Rockie Fresh hit the Hard Rock Cafe for a free concert powered by RedEye. To say that it was a crazy show would be an understatement. Go ahead and kick yourself if you missed it - after you watch the video, of course.

YP and Rockie Fresh joined director GL Joe yesterday to cook up a visual for their collaboration, "Insane" . With the shoot extending way past ten hours and GL Joe behind the lens, the video is sure to be - well, insane. Rockie Fresh hit up SoundScape studios today to work with Thelonious Martin on Thelonious' Closed Sesisons project, and just vibe out. The chemistry was there immediately, and the two went to work on a number of new cuts. We may even have something new for you to hear later this week... Boom.

Fresh Air , serves as the first official single off Chicago rapper ProbCause's forthcoming Recipe album. The song came together several months back while the three artist toured together as support for Chicago's legendary Twista . The Recipe has features from Action Bronson, Mickey Factz, YP and more and is scheduled to be released in fall 2012.

Last night, sources reached out to FSD to confirm that Shawnna is in the middle of a behind-the-scenes bidding war, with one of the parties being Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group. Tomorrow, Ross is hosting a major press conference in NYC, and is set to make a handful of announcements. With Rockie Fresh in LA spending time with Rozay, could the rapper/CEO be bringing two Chicago artists into his fold? Above is footage of Shawnna in Detroit performing with the MMG camp, further fueling the fire.

Most people are just entering the workforce at the age of 21. They are graduating from college, moving out of mom and dad's, and beginning to get their feet wet in "the real world", and they make plenty of mistakes. Here we have new visuals from Rockie Fresh 's "Into The Future". It's the opener and Back To The Future -themed track from his recent Driving 88 mixtape . The video features Rockie and a lady friend cruising around in a DeLorean looking supremely relaxed. While that is awesome, I was personally rooting to see Fresh zipping through the streets of Chicago on a Hoverboard. Maybe next time.
