Every once in a while I have some friends over and (in the summer) we sit on the balcony, have some beers, smokes and listen to some great tracks. Therefore, picture the following when listening to the following: Its been a really hot day, its still pretty hot but the suns almost going down and any hopes of a conservative night are out the window, and you have just realized this...you throw caution to the wind and a great song that you know comes on. You blast it [...]

According to the all-knowing Wikipedia's article on math : "The evolution of mathematics might be seen to be an ever-increasing series of abstractions , or alternatively an expansion of subject matter. The first abstraction was probably that of numbers . The realization that two apples and two oranges have something in common, namely that they fill the hands of exactly one person, was a breakthrough in human thought. I saw Rogue Wave a few weeks back at the Bowery Ballroom, I like Rogue Wave, but for some reason seeing them live was kind of a let down. I don't really know what I was expecting, but they still write realyl good songs, like this rarity, called "Eyes", which previously I have only seen on their myspace page, it's another song that just proves they are masters of melody, and heck the lead singers name is Zack, ain't nothin wrong with that! Also posted a highly bizarre cover of The Flaming Lips covering "If I Only Had a Brain", if only they gave the same sort of treatment to "Bohemian Rhapsody" which I thought kind of sucked. Apparently these songs are [...]
Rogue Wave is back this October with a new release entitled Descended Like Vultures , their previous release Out of the Shadow was one of my favorite albums of last year, making my top 11 records for a list I did with Eleven Elephants, so needless to say I'm pretty psyched to hear this one. I actually think Out of the Shadow was a better album than the last Shins album only they didn't have the fortune of having Zach Braf or Graff or whatever his name is changing his life, and in turn [...]
