Do you have 20 minutes to spare? Rosy Parlane 's "Part 3", the denouement of his second album Jessamine , is time well-spent. In over a quarter of an hour, Parlane moves the track from the blissful sound of the pop and crackle of a needle on a dusty record to a menacing storm of sound. It's a stunning composition, never boring or incidental. It may be dominated by a cacophonous meltdown, but "Part 3"'s peaceful beginning is just as interesting.
