I am recommending this show simply because the next time Morning Benders play, it's going to be somewhere like Music Hall of Williamsburg or Bowery Ballroom. Their song "Excuses" has been generating an incredible amount of buzz, and it's one of those instances where the song is actually just quite good. I haven't seen Dinowalrus in about a year, but they were really fun, schizophrenic rock the last time I saw them. And Royal Chord play floating indie synth rock, and hail from Australia. Royalchord are two female globetrotters from Melbourne and this month sees the release of their latest full length The Good fight. Recorded in various locations throughout the world with only basic instruments available, the album lays influential sounds from various genres including acoustic, reggae, folk and ambient electronics. It is the wonderful lead vocals that delivers the layer of dream pop. This is represented with the track 'too easy'. A simple swinging acoustic ballad with a hint of chimes that float between humming sweetness. The long intervals of acoustic strings and catchy chorus makes this the perfect [...]
by marissa bea Just when you thought the only thing that goes on in October is Halloween and Oktoberfest...wrong. The Royal Flush Festival is a new film, music, arts fest that has just been created from the combination of the E. Vil City Film Fest and Royal Flush Magazine. Everything is included now, from new films, local and emerging bands, group art shows and all sorts of fun stuff. It's also a great way to meet and greet other [...]

ROYALCHORD THE GOOD FIGHT (Supply & Demand Music) www.royalchord.com Zzzzzz... There's really nothing wrong with Royalchord's new record, The Good Fight . You've just got to be in the right mood to listen to it. The beautiful female vocals stand out over the dragging slow tempo songs, but it's also that drag which makes it hard to truly appreciate the songs as a whole. Royalchord might be good to fall asleep to, but it's not something that will get a party started. [...]

Yesterday, Philadelphia Grand Jury sent a tweet saying that their Berkfinger guitar was stolen after their set at the Beach Road Hotel on Wednesday night. 24 hours later, there was a happy ending to the story with the guitar being returned by the thief's 'friend'. You can track the conversation here . - Melbourne's Royalchord are the latest to sign with Mistletone . They are currently touring State-side and will release their third album 'The [...]
Royalchord is proof that no genre is safe. This Australian duo started off as a rather straightforward alt-country octet, then cut the roster down to just two. So how did Tammy Haider and Eliza Hiscox make up the difference? Computers! Royalchord kept its country roots intact but mashed it up with some electronics. "Turn My [...]
